Got a prob y'all. The game won't install. It's a brand new hard copy from NewEgg. Half way through the first disc it pops up with a file not found message:

    setup_the_witcher3_hunt-3bin
    File not found.
Check the file name and try again.

What do I do??? Is this a known issue?

Yeah, that is a known problem with the retail version. I believe the trick was to rename the files, this thread here might be of help: http://www.gog.com/forum/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt/cant_install_witcher_3

Or this screenshot from same thread:

Not had any repeatable issues with my 980. over 30 hours in and the game has been rock solid on all the patches so far. Saying that I did have it drop to desktop and the process stop running without warning or notice, I did however have fraps running in the background (non minimized) at the time.

As for the game, love how I start with an objective to go somewhere do something and then end up finding a new quest, secret or other task to do and before I know it I've lost several hours and my original objective has fallen by the way side. Finally made it to Skelliga though.

So I finally finished the game, main story-wise. Took me about 90hrs in with 58% completion. Did quite a bit of the side quests too and my Geralt is only at level 34. I wonder how many more side quests are available at higher levels? Spoiler below,

Kinda sucks how all the memorable npcs key to the story like Triss, Yen, Ciri, Zoltan, Dandelion and etc. are all gone after you finish the main story. I wish they were still around so that you can interact with them. Also some side quests are no longer doable but they're still on the quest log.

Not sure if anyone posted on this...

New Nvidia driver 353.06 give me basically the same performance.

Didn't change any of my settings and frames stayed where they were with previous drivers.

How do people know what percentage of the game they've completed? I have been looking for that and could not see it anywhere?

Also, I have not had a single crash on either the PS4 version (70+ hours played) or the PC version (40+ hours played) but then I generally do not leave browsers or other applications open while playing games. My system is not overclocked either (I favour stability over gaining a few frames per second).

Looking forward to playing the game much more once I get my new GTX 980 Ti (whenever that is!).

The GoG client tells me what percentage and how much time I've played Darren.

The game has no level cap, play it forever!

I also remembered that the game time ingame was like 60hr or something stupid like that :)

GoG-Galaxy tells me the correct information regarding played time. Though I don't know about game completion.

Is there a fix in the pipeline for the stuttering that happens when slowly trotting on horseback? It’s like a weird animation issue but it’s annoying as hell as it ruins the immersion when slowly going through a town/settlement.

New DLC just became available, I'll take that as a good indication for the next patch not being too far away. Hoping Patch 1.05 comes today.

Not sure where the crossbows can be acquired from but the Nilfgaard themed items can be found at the quartermaster of Crow's Perch next to the smithy.

Armor is similar to the Temerian one in that it scales to your level so it'll be pretty good and once you've gained a few levels you can always go back and buy a upgraded version, horse items aren't that good but they are better than the Temerian ones and the themed crossbow is also fairly average.
