CK, thank you :) this has worked great! uiHorizontalFrameScale=1.3 tucks the mini map nicely away in the corner. Thanks again!

Anyone else playing with Xbox controller? When using the left analog to walk / jog it feels to sensitive. The slightest movement up on the analog changes Geralt from a preferably nice stroll into jogging round confined spaces. Is there a way to tweak the input settings so it is less sensitive?

AWFUL post..any Christian believer may take it as insult, better edit and skip the last sentence. I am politely asking it.

"And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little"
    Deuteronomy 7:22

    Great!

Maybe I´ll edit and skip the last sentence, but not as long as biblical quotations like these exist. Because some people might take THIS as an insult.
But this is not the place for a discussion like that, so let´s just get back to what we all have come for: Tweaking our games and improve them together.

    The Witcher3 DarkFX

    Video Presentation: https://youtu.be/8Ti65LNiYJc

MORTISCAUSA DarkFX for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I've decided to rename this project since theres already a SweetFx mod called CineFX,
what a coincidence, anyway both are different mods, so dont confuse one with the other.

This mod is based on my personal preference, im just sharing this for fun and not for any kind of profit.
Credits to the makers of Reshade and Mastereffects.

DarkFX is a simple reshade file that creates a Cinematic feel,
reduces the brightness of colors, adds darker ambience, sharpness,
depth of field and enhances vegetation thickness and look of the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt.

    Caution!!!

*Menu texts, Partial minimap and time/clock may be blurred but still readable,
it is due to the enabling of Depth of Field (DOF)

*Nvidia Hairworks interferes with this mod's Depth of Field, it is highly recommended that Hairworks
be turned off, otherwise you might experience even blurrier menu texts, but game is still playable.

*May impact performance and fps depending on system hardware.

    Mod Feat:

    -Darker ambience
-Added a bit more solid colors
    -In game Depth of Field
-Reduced color brightness and cartoony effect
    -Cinematic Visuals
    -Modified bloom color and intensity
-reduced "redness effect" seen in Vanilla game
    -Thicker vegetation look and shadowing
    -More colorful environment

I would give them that as an excuse if literally every other game I've played since 2007 didn't have proper 5.1 mixing.

Far cry 2 and fallouy 3 had 7.1 discrete sound in 2008. Crysis in 2007 had 7.1 as well with full in game and scene discrete sound.

Even the witcher 2 had full 7.1 sound...also the game engine and sound engine natively map audio based on location to player etc...the in game mixing is practically auto done. Only cut scenes have to be manually mixed

yes but thats just simple auto audio space placement wich is an old tech , 7.1 require proper frequencies placement not just complete bits of sounds differently placed , and of course music should follow

given the state of the game at its release they clearly cut it out, lets hope for proper support in a patch or enhanced version

    Wait, I don´t get it?
Are there any issues for Stereo-Headsets, or just for Surround systems?

no it work fine, its just the lack of a proper 5.1-7.1 mix

Anyone figured how to disable the camera lens effect, like rain drops and dirt smeared all over when you look towards the sun?
Really hate when they add effects to an RPG that belongs to windshields in a car game.

Which FPS monitor program works without interfering with SweetFX/Reshade ??

I know I can't use Fraps or RivaTuner (Afterburner) but is there anything that works ?

Me too, Essenthy Fanboy here. :D
But I´m gonna get The Witcher tomorrow or tuesday so there is still some time.

What do you think, which Graphic Settings can I achieve with my good old Gtx 680 and some tweaks from this thread?
High? Or maybe Ultra without AA?

Yes I use a 360 controller and changed the sensitivity for the left analog stick, here's how.

Go to your Witcher 3 installation bin\config\platform\pc\ and open the file platformgameplay.ini and change the line

    LeftStickSensitivity=0.7 to
LeftStickSensitivity=0.4 or 0.5, I prefer 0.4 as you have to push the analog stick all the way up to run.

Already checked, nothing default in the ini files that changes it, guess it needs to be requested.

guys, I posted this in the official Witcher 3 thread, but no one has cared to answer.

guys, is there any way to move the bottom ui further towards the edge of the screen? I can move the top UI, but the bottom UI seems to stay where it is.
