It didn't install the direct3d driver. Which file do I need to use to install it manually thru device manager? There are like 6 infs.

Did you disable driver signatures or enable test mode?

Less drawcalls than 1018 so probably more overhead... but i'm not sure, can someone confirm?

Less overhead here with 1023.3 compared to 1018 and 1023.0 :)
Less draw calls = more overhead.

According to valerys this driver (15.200.1023.3) does 634.865 drawcalls and the 15.200.1023.0 does 919.609 that's why i thought this driver may have more overhead.

I'm downloading 3d mark to test it myself.

This huge difference must be caused by a different benchmark settings.

Compare the 2 drivers in FS mode at the same res and setup.

I bet the better performing test was run in windowed mode and the other in fullscreen mode...

Then this is very strange... :3eyes:

I'll bench modded 1023.3 later on Win8.1 when i finish to upgrade W10 to TP 10122.

Edit: Are VBS and asder00 modded 1023.3 performing equally for you in 3DMark bench?

Not using a modded driver, I am fine with the one that comes from Windows Update.

//Said that before, it's Windows 10 Build 10122 on both 1023 and 1023.3, you could also see that from the 3dmark link.

    1023.3 is a modded driver.

    Ahhhhh!

You are comparing W10 drivers not modded drivers for W8.1 or modded vs official W8.1 ones...

I compare not modded 1023 driver on Win10 build 10122 with not modded 1023.3 driver on Win10 build 10122. Is it clear enough now?
    You guys are funny :stewpid:

Once you said not modded is clear.

The confusion was we are discussing modded drivers in this thread not original W10 ones! :D

It seems that the overhead test is not in the demo version of 3d mark :S

It probably won't work, atleast on Win 7 64bit. I've tried that myself with 1018 moded drivers, and it didn't worked (perhaps I did something wrong?). Anyway, disabling driver signature enforcement before installing drivers will work. After installing drivers, there is no need to do that again, except if you install newer moded drivers (before doing it, uninstall previous drivers with DDU while PC is in safe mode).
