you don't know what AFR is do you
Each gpu renders one frame the first then the next rinse repeat
todo scaling on those each card would need to scale the image independently
and that is going to be very very slow
the only solution would be for AMD to either use SFR which is prone to tearing or checkerboard which .. nobody has managed to make work correctly in all the years we have had multi-gpu setups AMD tried it nvidia tried it it doesn't work worth a dam in 90% of games

Crossfire VSR works with the 285...

because the 285 has memory delta compression which decreased the band with required it also has that niffy crossfire XDMA link thing that allows direct communication between gpu cores

Are you sure that the GameWorks contract doesn't stop them working with AMD with TressFX or whatever else?

it would require forking the code-base and implementing it
why the **** do you care buy a nvidia card you really wanna wack off to virtual hair else stfu about it

What the hell are you talking about. It was a serious question I'm not saying anything bad about TressFX for ****s sake.

Overhead is really really really bad in this game for us AMD users with intel/AMD CPU's

    http://pclab.pl/art63116-48.html

Meaning you really need a beasty CPU if you want to fully enjoy this.

Classic ad hominem attack, cause he ran out of arguments. Onemoar's setup cannot run the amazing, immersive hair = ergo it's worthless. Don't mind such folks, theoneofgod

io I am on the side that doesn't give two ****s if it works or not you want the hair-effects buy a nvidia card
its never going to work properly on anything but a nvidia and thats the end of it
I don't care how efficient your code is or what type of hardware acceleration you use that type of simulation will always be DOGSLOW nothing short of a dedicated ASIC is going to fix that
people are crying extra hard that it doesn't run worth a crap with it enabled
it never will get over it move on

Not into crossfire, but is this correct with VSR.

VSR = The game played at set resolution then the GPU scaler downsamples to whatever Resolution you normally have. Meaning it's all hardware scaling.

Crossfire VSR = GPU 1 and GPU 2 needs to render at the intended resolution and then downsample.

IF so i don't really see what the problem is, except that it of course need more bandwidth, but it would need that without VSR and just normal High Resolution anyway, right?

    I am probably way off;P

I am so glad I didn't buy an AMD CPU right now, damn!
One thing though. DX12 couldn't come any sooner.

Of course you are, my dear intellectual friend. I have no doubts whatsoever.
If I would have been blessed my such intelligence as you,
I would have known. Alas. Thank you for showing me the light.

You have intel ? Still screwed unless its 4790k @4.5
CDPR said they are looking into dx12 .
Im thinking we should storm their forums and request dx12 ASAP.

Not saying I'm all clear but compared to how the AMD CPU's are performing, mine is twice the FPS...
The choice was 80/20 though at the time :)
