There are already W3 PC testers. Why AMD hasn't release new beta driver? Maybe tommorow?

I'm a graphics whore and I'll probably play it with a controller, so I'm targeting max at a stable 30. That's the nice thing about the pc, that we get to make that choice :D

That's actually a great option. I'd imagine you played Witcher 2 with ubersampling on? How did you lock that game to 30fps? I've tried RiviaTuner, DXTory, RadeonPro, it just refuses to frame cap. Made profiles for both the launcher.exe, and witcher2.exe, didn't help.

Usually i apply double vsync, it usally locks at half framerate of the refresh rate.
Altough Radeon Pro not always work in all games.

Thank god some devs start to put those options on the Graphics Settings.

The Witcher 2 I played with a 6950. I don't really remember the options I used, I just have the feeling that I had everything at max except Ubersampling. That wasn't even the Enhanced Edition.
Try to make a profile with the Witcher2.exe, and add Launcher.exe in the launcher tab of the Withcer2.exe profile. I have noticed that sometimes with RadeonPro, that the profile works if I also set the screen refresh rate.

Finally, make sure that you don't run any kind of frame capture/server in the background. Thinks like RivaTuner Statistics Server, Dxtory, FRAPS etc, should be all closed. Also, RadeonPro won't work if you run the game as an admin.

The game that I have recently run on a locked 30fps is AC Unity, and I used RadeonPro for that, forcing Triple Buffering and double vsync, like a true peasant :D

I tried UberSampling, but it brought my 7970 to its knees, so i ended up turning it off.

i havent played it in a while, but i dont recall RP not working...

Okay so adding the launcher.exe in the launcher tab of RadeonPro did the trick. Geralt looking mighty fine with ubersampling and peasant fps. Also, temperatures are lower by about 15 degrees.

And here i thought that the days of crysis 1 games are over, where gpus aren't able to handle a game at stable 60fps. Well that is embarrassing that even with gameworks and optimized drivers the gtx 980 can't even hit 50 fps. lol

I don't believe it's badly optimized, just that they really amped the ante on some of the effects, with diminishing returns.

Supposedly the game is performing well on current drivers.

    It doesnt need one.

We need one for crossfire profile, as i saw on pcgameshardware, 290x have nice performance even with gameworks. But something wrong - nvidia gtx 780 < gtx 960? 0o

You guys there is a fight over on the nvidia side of the forum about nvidia manipulation drivers in favor of newer cards. Opps someone might have read my earlier posts and i could be the reason behind this :D
