These are my standards too. Keep in mind this is a 3rd person game too, which means that you can tolerate it better. I can go down to 30 for them :p

So are the chances of getting a driver update for witcher 3 very low? Was it the same with assassin's creed unity and far cry 4? I mean recent games except for GTA 5. Ofcourse i wont be able to play it high... wanted to play it at low/med with min fps 40.. cant go below that

My greatest hope is that we may not even need a Witcher 3 driver, since there isn't even a profile for it in the latest ones. That's the positive expectation :p

    I still believe it's not AMD's fault.

The above image is the last coder that tried bypassing GameWorks.

Hahahaha XD I m thinking it might be like this with batman Arkham knight. The requirements don't even include a single amd card. :bang:

    It never is.

That and conspiracy driven fanbase is what drives me away from AMD.

And it's always the same story:

    1. Game comes out, runs like ***
    2. It's not us - it's Nvidia (WHO ELSE, RIGHT?)
    3. Few months later (or sooner), game runs like charm, proving that the whole issue is lack of focus and manpower.

    OTOH Nvidia has been bitten few times with Evolved just as well;
from sending them code/binaries in the last moment (Tomb Rider, TressFX),
generally running like *** (Hitman, WatchDogs, hey sh1t happens right?), to literally forbidding the developer to implement their features on Nvidia (Lichdom: Battlemage, TressFX 2).
Yet you never ever see them crying and complaining about competition.

Only on AMD forums you'll see that when their product under-performs, they blame some other product that they don't even have.

About AMD ruining their card performance and gameplay experience? No.

They actually whine to the company that produced their HW/drivers or to game developer.

AMD have something comparable to GameWorks?
By the way we complain a lot about AMD too don't worry.

As for Witcher 3, developers are world-class and this is one of the most anticipated PC games ever.

I simply don't see devs or AMD droping the ball.
And I don't see it undeperforming.
This is a huge catalyst for AMD. If they *** this up, they have no business in GPUs. But they won't!

1- You can't be more right, for both (AMD and Nvidia)
2- Gameworks is not certainly helping AMD...
If they broke something in the process of adding Nvidia stuff that casually makes AMD GPUs run like s*** we can call it bad luck.
    3- Months later OR NEVER.
AMD has a SERIOUS lack of money and direction in the driver department and maybe TOO MUCH in the BS PR departament.

Nvidia customers don't have to fear about the "Tiger team".

This "Tiger Team" PR operation is not going to f*** any game at level code for them! :D

Or fixing games for AMD users. :(

The way I understood it "Tiger team" :D will mostly be dealing with enterprise and pro clients.
Proly OpenGL and OpenCL, now that they grew to 25% in Pro, and now that they are in Apple(and other) workstations.

You know imagination is not an infinite resource for marketing (PR) departement.

    What can they do?

After so many years of use (and abuse) of dragons and snakes for ads they run out of both species now it's the turn of the felines! :D

you can see all these Nvidia ads everywhere and it feels like they only worked on Nvidia hardware from start to finish. From past experience AMD usually stays away when there is too much Nvidia crap. I'm becoming more skeptical about the performance of this game on any AMD gpu. From the looks of it, someone should also start a Batman AK thread. Nvidia has got really aggressive since they couldn't get a deal with any console of this gen.
