ARK: Survival Evolved

Some sort of dinosaur survival game in Unreal Engine 4.

Out in Early Access on June 2nd. Final release is planned to be June 2016 along with console releases.

Looks pretty cool, though I'm probably going to watch streams of it before deciding whether to get it.

 

This actually looks promising, there hasn't been a good dinosaur game that explements the dinos fluidly and believable. I hope this one does. I think most devs just don't want to program the collision and physics with these creatures. It would be very time consuming and challenging.

 

Just listened to a 50 minute interview with the Creative Director and i'm hooked.
Very promising indeed. I'm definitely going to buy this June 2.

Saw this trailer yesterday, i'm glad someone finally made a post about it.

Personally love the dinosaurs, but in this game they seem a little plastic and its a MMO. :3eyes:

I want a remake of Trespasser (1998) with best stunning graphic possible and than I'll die with a smile on my face.

 

Looks a lot like Rust with Dinosaurs! I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

 

looks like an improved version of beasts of prey, but not to keen on dragons and the rideable scorpions and what looks like something out of halo games seems out of place, just want a decent dinosaur game

Omg so yes, I think I remember spending a day looking down my cleavage.. I mean.. um.. shooting raptors.

Expect more things with dinosaurs, new Jurassic Park movie coming out soon.

 

Idk everything looked a little stiff, especially player movement, also gfx foliage is a bit so so (very cartoony) on first look I would say its modded U3E then U4E.

Well PrimalCarnage can almost look like that now and its a Q4 2012 game, ok shading is a little worse but other stuff can compare np.

Will early access be released on midnight? i already heard someone is going to stream it today.

For anyone who's wondering, it will cost 25 dollars.
It won't support SLI/Crossfire till they'll update the game to DX12 they said wich sucks pretty much. :bang:

 

Yeah.. this sucks.. with a single 290x I can pull 40-50fps on medium/high settings with the resolution scale down to around 2/3's. Hoping for DX12 sooner or later or someone finds a crossfire profile that will allow it to work and perform better than the one card..

 

Am I the only one who thinks the game looks terrible? Watched a couple of streams and it looked bad.

 

It's still in early alpha access. It won't hit the PS4 until next year. Some on the Jackfrags videos are very funny.

 

No, it dosnt look that bad. Game is really bad optimized, maybe they are playing lower settings so it looked worse.
