Wasn't windowsblinds shunned long ago for overhead issues? I liked it although 8-10TP style is aesthetic enough for me.

    I'm with you on that.

At the end of the day a machine/device has a purpose, different for each one.

I had flash banners working on a fantasy baseball page on yahoo using Spartan

Hmm, not sure, I never really liked it for any OS other than XP iirc, When Vista hit, I used the ux shell hack and custom themes from deviantart

Yea exactly, and the reason having 'one os' is daft IMO too, I want a desktop to do desktop things, and a tablet to do tablet things etc

I bet we gonna see one major build with next to RTM drivers from NVIDIA and AMD, if win 10 to be released at July, then next build should resemble what we gonna see.

So no new builds for the public after 74 maestro?

I think the next 'new' nvidia drivers will be during witcher 3 launch.

Anyone found a way to get full control of system files/folders? I'm getting access denied in regedit even after taking ownership of the hive.

Wanna turn off some of the MS bloatware. Mainly Windows Defender which seems to have an enourmous memory leak.
Ram usage at 7Gb this morning, so I fired up Process Explorer and Windows Defender WS: 3.7GB ?? Virtual Size 38GB..??.

    U guys getting that?

I dont even like Windows Defender. the program isnt properly optimize and loads files into memory as your browsing explorer, one reason for the memory increase. as it doesnt release the memory after scanning the each file.

my system has came to a halt because a folder I browsing had large files in it and defender caused the system to hang.

Yep, I've also had huge issues with Windows Defender, turning it off via " services " didn't work. If you find a solution to remove or actually turning it off, do let me know as nothing I've tried, even with Admin permission, hasn't worked.

Doesn't installing a 3rd party AV automatically disable it?

Gonna see if I can manage it

I never use it but MS have decided to trolloll Insider subscribers by autostarting services such as Defender and W Upate then denying user acess so they can't be turned off.

I'm gonna try icacls and if dom't work I'kll switch bck to 7. Cbf....

and yeah I got the lag to when disk reading someithing from my RAID setup.Cpu load was pegged out ....Never seen that before.

Killed it - safemode, take ownership of program files\windows defender folder, delete it, delete service from regedit

Yea I thought, does it also kill the service?

Was fun killing it manually though

Any time a 3rd party antivirus is installed, Defender is automagically disabled.

Build 10074 broke Direct3D 12 on the latest Catalyst driver 15.200.1018.1 - 3D Mark API Overhead test does not run anymore in Direct3D 12 mode and my feature checker tool fails as well. Mantle doesn't seem to work either, probably some breaking changes in the DWM/DXGI.

Latest Nvidia driver 352.63 seems to work fine in Direct3D 12 though, and so is software rendering with WARP12 (when you install Windows 10 SDK and/or Visual Studio 2015 RC).

No clue about Haswell/Broadwell graphics (HD Graphics 4200 and up to Iris Pro P6300).

DXCapsVeiwer works on mine but only the 32bit version. I couldn't run the API bench either.

That's weird, I tried to open DX Viewer and got a 0x7B fatal error. Only 7B I know of is a boot device MCE.....

Looking at event log Cortana is the cause.....
Oh yeah remember now, Futuremark released a patched build a few days ago, meant to fix that bug. It didn't work.

    What build you got?
