Haha yea next time I clean out my pc I'm going to take care of that. I was in a bit of a rush when I was assembling it before I went to work and was trying to get everything installed asap cause I work five to six days a week and when I come home I just want to game before I go to bed.

EDIT: Cpu temp never goes over 50 Celsius when in a 64 player bf4 server, and 32 Celsius while just browsing the internet, watching youtube etc and video card doesn't get that hot at all.

Dmak: I really like those cases... including the Mini-ITX version they also have. The only thing that kinda turned me away from them and towards BitFenix was the lack of any apparent optical drive support (aside from external). Otherwise, they are beautifully designed little chassis.

There is a slot loading drive in the front, but I have the bay empty. Although I dont think I have had an optical drive for about 5 years. :)

About time for a new case I think, served me well, saved my hardware from a 1m fall onto it's head, but looking dirty, scrappy and old now

Well in preperation of this years big upgrade (got my 980Ti and I'm just waiting for the Skylake & Z100 mobo's) I've braided my first set of cables for my PC over trying to find some I liked. My fingers are feeling the pain but I think it's worth it for the extra custom look.

I now know what to do in the future for braiding such as buying spare AUX pins for the one's that get stuck and come loose from the wires :bang:. Anyway I'll be posting more as and when my new GTX 980Ti arrives and I get the block & backplate fitted into my loop :nerd:.

My GTX980Ti finally arrived so my GTX580's have now been retired after years of faithful service. Anyway here's a before and after of my PC and now I really really need a black & blue mobo :nerd:

Before with my old loop and GTX580's

After with my braided cables, GTX980Ti and refitted loop

Looks fantastic! What brand quick disconnects are those and is that the EK-XRES 100 D5? If so how do you like it? I was looking at that or the 140 for my build.

Thanks very much, I'm pretty happy with the result and was worth the very sore hands making the cables :nerd:.

The quick disconnects were some cheap no frills ones from WCUK which were only a couple of quid each and much cheaper that any others I've looked at. Most importantly they work very well with at most a couple of drips when disconnecting them but solid afterwards. The res is pretty good although I should have gotten the 140 as the 100 is on the tiny side, but still very functional. I originally planned to use my X3 Res on this so bought the small one (was cheapest by a quid or two) then realised squeezing it in was going to be a nightmare. I also got the EK nickle plated cover for the D5 which help the visuals a little as the D5 can be a little on the ugly side :p.
