Recently did a fresh install of Windows 8.1 and after I installed magician the system just freezes after magician starts... (tried it with 4.5 and 4.6 with the exact same result) any ideas of what might be causing this? Extra info: Samsung 840 Pro - 128GB 840 Pro set as an SSD in Bios and AHCI
Hey try uninstalling and deleting the leftover folder. Then reinstall as an admin even if you are one (I recommend doing this with all drivers cause windows 8 is a pos like that sometimes) Edit- Also make sure you windows fully up to date before even installing
Sorry meant any leftover installation folders but it looks like it does is a clean uninstall. If reinstalling does not work i would look into the chipset drivers
Lazy Samsung bums. The firmware update wouldn't work even on Intel AHCI sata drivers, as opposed to the old warning that it doesn't like AMD specifically, so I needed to switch to MS default to apply the update, and then switch back to Intel. I hope this is worth all the reboots and hassle.
No its still there. Cant believe this is just hitting guru3d, 5.0.0.790 has been out for like 6 months now... They got rid of all the other things because it was shown by microsoft that disabling things for performance mode and what not did nothing to improve performance in windows 10 at least if i remember correctly.
Yeah I tried to download this to mirror it on several occasions, but Samsung has a most ****ty maximum limited number of downloads per day restriction and thus 9 out 10 times you cannot download the binary. It is the sole reason why I host these tools in the first place.
