Sure, no problem. Personally I don't see why you'd want to lower settings though when the fps is averaging around 140+, but each to their own.

For me i have performance to spare, even with 2x290 to max the game out completely with ease at 1080P. :)

    1080P, MSAAx0 every other setting at maximum/Ultra.

I had a BSOD during the install after which I had some trouble getting windows to work properly, but seemed to fix itself. I uninstalled the drivers with DDU in safe mode but it bsod'd anyway. Took another try before they installed correctly.

I gotta hand it to AMD though performance in GTA 5 is amazing for me! I wasn't expecting it to be this good, so hat's off :)

I talked prematurely and Im sorry for that.
But I still think there is still room for improvement in DX11.

    Thank you. :)

    No problem. :)

Our driver team and Rockstar did a great job. We've highly optimised our driver and Rockstar have used a game engine that is excellent for multi gpu setups. :)

It just has to be said. People usually only complain on the internet and when it works well they're too busy playing :p I hope that the Witcher 3 will get similar support (I understand it uses a lot of Nvidia proprietary stuff..:() as it will be a really big release also. Keep up the good work please :D

    a good one
GTA V is running fine, but CPU overhead is terrible.. I have really low GPU usage sometimes

BTW AmdMatt you are trying very hard to divert the conversation with your screenshots ,we are not stupid when you show 4k ,8xMSAA with 99% usage on 4 gpus.
Why don't you post screenshots @1080p no MSAAA ultra quality, 2x290x?
You won't show those screenshots because you would be crushed in performance.

so this is you being constructive? no this is u talking crap

Apparently it is .Even users like "Michalko" and others can confirm CPU overhead to be real issue ,the thing is AmdMatt has a monstrous CPU so there is no way he is being bottlenecked.

    first of all..

who plays 1080 p with two 290x, and who in the right mind will use a weak cpu with two 290x?

I'd like to see some screenshots of people that are bottlenecked please, along with details of what cpu you have, what speed it's running at, as well as what settings you use in game.

    2x R9 290s stock

    Bottlenecked @ very high 1440p.

All the benchmarks show reduced AMD performance due to CPU overhead.

I meant actual in game screenshots as when i tested above i was averaging 140fps, with 2x290X with MSAAx0 and all other settings at maximum. This was with my cpu at 3.5Ghz.

Gamegpu has also the same benchmark that shows GTX 780 beating R9 290X in GTA V.
