15.3 did that on your PC because you installed it on top of another AMD driver without cleaning.

Try with a uninstall and DDU it will install at 1080.

I guess the same will occur on 15.4.

    15.3 did that WHY...?

    And that's a bad advice.
I'm not using DDU or any other 3rd party tool unless its absolutely necessary:

Did they remove the Frame Rate from this driver under the Performance section?

You are free to use whatever you want.

Great article about AMD drivers uninstall. :)

Do you have another official AMD article to add VSR support on series 6000,7000 and to add 4K VSR on 290(X)/295X2?

I would like to DON'T use any third party tool like DDU or modded drivers and reg files to do what AMD hide from us like VSR.

Just spent an hour and a half recovering from a BSOD on startup after installing these drivers... After trying a manual uninstall, I restored "Last known good configuration" to the startup options to get back into regular Windows. Very odd, as my NIC was messed up too, but that may have been from the uninstall utils I was messing with in safe mode.

Installed again on top of the old drivers and they loaded fine (instead of the typical uninstall/reboot/reinstall). Annoying. Luckily GTA V just finished decrypting so I can take out some frustration!

That sounds great, ill have to check it out also as i've got a 280X.
I usually have to play with Lighting Quality on High as opposed to Very High.
Even when i had crossfire that specific setting really hit the FPS.

MGS5: GZ crossfire profile is still crap.

At 1440p with everything set to extra high, single GPU records an average 40fps when viewing all the lights in camp omega after the opening cutscene.
Dual GPU records an average of 45fps.
Even AFR crossfire records an average of 45fps in the same scene.

    WOW!

Is crossfire only providing 5 fps more over single GPU?

    From 40 to 45 FPS.

That's what we can call an AWFULL crossfire scaling!

Indeed, it is awful. If AFR friendly provides the same performance as their official crossfire profile, they might as well not make an attempt to have a profile in the first place.

I would recommend to clean your drivers and remnants using DDU(Display Driver Uninstaller)
And reinstalling the 15.4 drivers after that to see if it helps.

If not then you'll have to go back to a driver that is working for you.
Maybe submit it as a bug to AMD.

So are these better than The Omega 14.2 drivers?

How can this driver be optimized for GTA5 if D3D drivers is the same as 15.3 ??

The optimzations are done with an application profile.

GTA V runs very nice in crossfire on nearly max settings and 1440p, for once in a long time AMD didn't disappoint.. if The Witcher 3 runs this nice I might consider delaying my next upgrade.

Beta drivers only for half a year is not something to be proud of. It's pathetic.

I expect this from AMD though. You guys are done.

That's what you get for letting a woman take the helm.

Did what? Become the first company to release nothing but beta drivers for the better part of a year?

Way to go AMD!! I didn't think it was possible but you suck even more than yesterday!

I'm sick of AMD i will never buy a lapdock with an AMD video card...I have HP pavilion with Radeon HD 6000 series...and with any drivers newer than AMD-Catalyst-14.7-RC3...startup i's so slow...seems they broke EnableUlps and if you set it to 1 you will have a 20 segs freeze on every startup...and if you set it to 0...it startup normally but battery drain too fast...It works great with AMD-Catalyst-14.7-RC3 and older versions....

I know that my lapdock it's a little old...but please don't break it more with any all newer driver...I never ask for new freatures...just compatibility that's why I need and updated driver

I did report it on amdsurveys many times before on any new driver released but it seems they don't care....because it's still broken...

    So bye AMD for me...
