Use Hola (set to brazil) and buy the game on Nuuvem for ~$30/£20. It's a rockstar social club only code so no steam download. Servers are being hammered right now, I was getting a glorious 80kb/s!

The hype is real. I swear, if this game ends up being a lag/stutter fest with constant crashes, I'm never purchasing another Rockstar product.

With the massive delay of the pc version, bad performance and / or technical issues would pretty much be unforgivable.

Rockstar have stated that a GTX 760 is all that is needed for 4k/30fps. So the game is highly optimised.

With the lowest possible settings :p

But yes, still very impressive if it holds up :)

They didn't mention settings, I would assume console settings.

Why would you trust them at face value? I need to see it for my own eyes to believe it after their performances in the past. Max Payne 3 being the exception. Then again, that wasn't really open world, and the Max Payne games were always pretty smooth.

    I want to believe :bugeye:

I would like to think my two 760 GTX's would be more then enough to run this game on the highest settings possible with very good framerates. Here is to hoping. I still have not gotten my copy as I want to wait till the last I guess, but I will be getting it. Just so many bad memories from the last time with GTA 4 for PC.

    It was kinda implied :p

They said for 30 fps 4k the very minimum would be a 760, but for the full 4k experience, youd need a highend sli setup.

If we do some quick math, a highend Card (lets just say 980 as rockstar did the 4k test with themselfs) will be roughly twice as fast as a 760 (based upon firestrike) - then in sli, and we assume the scaling is good... so lets say 75%... then the 980 sli setup would have 350% more rendering power than the 760 Card... so if that much more power is needed for the full 4k experience, then it would Again imply that the 760 wouldnt run it with the same settings just at 30 fps, but instead use the lowest possible settings :)

What if I don't want the 4k experience and I just want ultra graphics on 1920x1080? I mean surely I can expect to be able to do that correct?

    Most settings, sure :)

But i wouldnt Count on ultra textures and high AA levels, as the game seems to be quite vram hungry.

Well each of my cards has like 4 gigs of ram itself I think. I will have to check. That is why I got these cards. They have a ton of ram on them.

Don't know if people are thinking of this, but is guru3d thinking of making a gang or something?

We already have a game group on Steam. Join it if you haven't. Then you can see other members who are playing the game. If you want, you can start an in game gang, or I can.
