Sounds really good... can't view the pic at work, but I guess he's got a huge OC running there if it's a legit score.

Let me put it this way... i average slightly below 60 fps with 780 ti 2 way sli, clocked at 1250 MHz... aka he either isnt using 4k, has more than 1 gpu, or is posting fake scores.

That's why I said that I can't even view the pic, or he's got a huge OC, can't really say much about it.

    ...

The benchmark results being spoken of, is the 4k ones, not 1440p... the link has both of them.

Jayztwocents on YouTube has three of them watercooled. Go check him out, he also has a funny Titan x review... I have a Titan x, planning on watercooling, but it's not my biggest priority. It stays at safe temps even when overclocking @4k and gaming on most games. I am going to get a larger case. I will get the corsair watercooling large case for a couple hundered and I will either put cpu coolers on the card or a specialized gpu cooler, with radiator.

When I say safe temps, I mean it will not go past 87C when doing some decent MSi Afterburner overclocking. That's good though, that is cooler than any other and gpu would reach if it had the Titans cooler.

Well there you go - not that the results are in any way bad, but a single titan x simply isnt sufficent for 4k (at least not in very demanding games).

4k - 60fps isn't happening on a single Titan X for modern games but in SLi ( if optimized )
    it's easy to hit 60fps @ 4k

    For sure! :)

2 way sli with titan x would be grand, but as would the Price :p

Nah, im waiting for the next die shrink, and then look at what amd and nvidia can provide... chances are that ill end up going amd with 490x, or whatever theyll call it, together with a freesync monitor... im tired of nvidia charging a huge Premium for all the products.

At 1440p this card is fantastic, when i was playing Dying light in some points in the game i was getting around 130fps but then at other times it drops to 80fps. This was running the card at 1404mhz and cpu at 4.2ghz.

    All completely maxxed out.

I do think at 4k graphics cards are not quite there just yet for a single solution especially at 120fps. 60fps is old hat now although still very playable and acceptable we should be looking at single solutions that can offer 4k at 120fps or more.

Yeah. We're not VRAM limited. Just lacking GPU power for 4k.
Neighbor just got a titan x to replace his "titan original". Looked ok at 4k DSR but very bad frame-rate drops. Much louder that I thought it'd be too

Yeah i think even 2x Titan X's for a smooth 60fps experience is not worth it in my opinion. Still need to wait for maybe next gen of cards for a considerable increase in performance at 4k.

Yeah... die shrink, stacked memory, and possibly even shared memory through sli... so pascal in 1-2 years :)

Yeah. I know SLI has improved massively in the last few years, but you will only completely get your money's worth with DX12 and Pascal.

These are max settings with ultra texture pack installed (it fill up 6GB vram). I think in near future more games will show difference like that (gta5, unreal engine 4 in 4K resolution).

    Hello X owners,

I might get one X next month and I would like to know if this card can offer frames over 60 on 2560x1440 resolution with the reference clock. It seems to perform very good with OC but from what I can see in the benchmarks with default clock, I am not convinced.

My 780Ti sli is ok from the fps point of view but after finally understanding that vram in sli is mirrored and not shared I can see that 3 Giga of vram is not enough and maybe this explains my fps drops.

From vram view this should be a future proof card, at least for now :D
