If GMG uses warehouse then I would think that physical uses warehouse.

Seems playing with a VPN earlier is not working. Tested already with Hongkong and Japan...still the same time, 14.04. 1:00 here.

    Well, you're a few days early. :p

Game doesn't release sooner in other regions, so VPN is only useful if you can't wait the hours difference between timezones.

Uhm, i only tested,..so if it would work the countdown would be different.

(So with Japan/HK VPN connected, countdown still says 14.04. 01:00 - So it looks like Japan for example can play at 14.04. 08:00 "my time")

I get what you're saying, but it probably just fetches the date from the server and doesn't takes in consideration your OS date, so it doesn't do any time zone math.

You can probably activate it when it's 14.04 - 01:00 in Japan.

Edit: Had to use a time calculator (time zones are confusing) but it seems that you should be able to activate by 13/04 - 18:00 german time.

I hope this sells well on Pc. That way rockstar can release the next version along side the consoles. Having to wait a year or more is dumb.

Honestly, i dont think Rockstar will care... they always treated pc this way, and i dont think anything will change that... they will give us the games (maybe) when they have the spare time from their priorities (consoles).

not even remotely true. That being said, PC sales of GTA V won't change how clever Rockstar are. Some people will own this on 3 different platforms, kerching, right?

True, other than GTA IV. It showed little effort from Rockstar to the point of being insulting, even after the patches.

It still isn't completely smooth @ 60fps on my rig, and the game was released on the Core Duo era. The fact that reviewers at the time didn't lower the score due to the fact that it was unplayable for the vast majority of gamers still blows my mind.

Rockstar did improve with Max Payne 3, so lets hope GTA IV was a one time thing.

Rockstar didn't always treat PC this way. they (DMA, later R*) released GTA and GTA2 on PC before on consoles. Only then they got smart and realised they can sell a lot more copies on consoles. And with good hype, delay the PC versions a while and sell a shedload on PC too. But to say R* never cared about the PC platform is not true. PC was their first platform.

EDIT: ah, I see you kinda agreed with me there. Thing is, R* recently have "cared" more about consoles. It's because that's where the money is. It's that simple. Sure, GTA IV was and still is a mess. Saying they always treated PC this way is not true, we both agree ;)

Try installing GTA IV even now some seven years on and you still don't get anywhere near the level of performance today's PC hardware should be able to squeeze out of it. GTA V from the technical lessons learned with Max Payne 3 should turn out as a complete polar opposite.

I for one and just glad they included a distance scaling option as well as population one as standard.
