that's one nice cpu you got there, 1.3v for 4.9ghz, is brilliant, im lucky to get 4.5ghz at 1.35v lol
Finally got the block hooked up and loop rebuilt (no thanks to EK for sending the wrong caps with the fittings, a rad that didn't ship, and a 20mm thick fan that was DOA). Stock Asus BIOS: Idle 19C Load (after 2 hours) maxed out at 39C (with one missing rad fan). I haven't messed with OCing much, but I was hitting 1512 with no issues. (I'll try out other BIOS' later in the week). http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/6521565

Looks like 8GB Vram can make noticable difference in 4K, so maybe also 12GB (titanX) could be utilized in near future http://www.benchmark.pl/testy_i_recenzje/radeon-r9-290x-8-gb-crossfire-ile-daje-8-gb-pamieci-ram/strona/23639.html Shadow of mordor 4K 290x 4GB - 52 Avg, 40 Min 290x 8GB - 61 Avg, 50 Min

Those are interesting numbers for sure - id like to know what exact settings are used, and im not exactly fluent in polish (?) Is ultra texture pack used, or is it without the ultra texture pack? Cause with the ultra texture pack + 4k, it would eat up about 6gb vram, which would pretty much explain the rather massive fps difference between the 4 and 8 gb versions.
Just to mention it, those avg and min fps are for CFX setups (2x290X4GB and 2x290X8GB. The single cards perform almost the same, the difference starts to show at CFX with 4K. Single cards compare 32/26 with the 8GB to 30/24 for the 4GB model (again, avg/min). At 1440p the cards perform within 1fps of another. This shows that at 4K VRAM again does matter, but up to 1440p it might not need more than 4GB currently. (Take all those words in relation to those special situations, special game, without dx12 / vulkan, w/e)
