We don't understand me. This mod can add 5K resolution support. Some users feedback about 5K VSR works.

yeah 5k works i had it working
and works well but there are issues.

ISSUES: that need addressed or fixed:
1: crossfire is borked *massive right side of screen image flickering impossible to play anything with it*
2: crossfire disabled = no flickering but whats the point, cant play games in 4k or 5k with 1 card
3:Some games do not detect the resolutions 4k and 5k and will only select up to a maximum of 1080p or your native resolution *could be a game issue ?*

    --------------------------------

    GOOD POINTS :

    higher desktop real estate :)
image viewing... netflix watching / movie watching... and anything else that requires 2d only.

Same here 14 keys but in DP using DisplayPort connection.

I started adding DVI ones cause i'm trying with HDMI connection this time.

Can you confirm that you have 4K VSR working fine in games WITH CROSSFIRE ENABLED?

Which crossfire method are you using?Default,afr,1x1?

ok, i'm myself fixed this. It's very simple:
    1. load OS in safe mode
    2. go to C:/Windows/Inf/oem6.inf
    3. search ID (in my case 6798) - AMD6798.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series" and change to AMD6798.1 = "AMD Radeon R9 200 Series"

I just installed this driver and I have the VSR box (haven't tested it) but I'm missing the frame limiter option. This is with HD 7970s and I used DDU and disabled driver signature enforcement.

I only got this driver for the frame limiter. Any idea why it's not showing? Is it just VSR modded for HD7/R7/R9 and not the FPS limiter?

    Why?

    Same as VSR mistery: AMD.

It's a shame when customers need to hack software to get support for a valid hardware.

Maybe AMDMatt has a good explanation for this.

Well I just thought this driver was modded to enable FPS limiter for HD7 series. I guess it's just VSR that is modded for older cards. Anyway my adapter ID is just a bunch of wingding symbols now lol.

Maybe this is the real name, i call this MOD...REAL MOD. :D

Maybe asder00 can say something about frame limiter, he is the modder magician. :)

Oh well, I uninstalled this driver promptly when Black Ops II instantly crashed upon startup so this driver does not work with crossfire, black ops 2, or reshade+sweetfx.

A bit off topic sort of...but late last night I had a thought...Concerning VSR, FRL, and AMD.

It seems as if AMD released drivers with VSR in them semi working, for us geeks to actually figure out how to implement it for them and save the R&D.

    Just saying.

    I don't think so.

AMD is not putting puzzles and jigsaws in drivers for us to figure how to add support.

They simply lie and don't hide enough what is possible: VSR can work on 7000 series and the rebrands and it's also possible to achieve 4K VSR on 290(X)/295X2

There is no "phantom" hardware "scaler".

It's a simple commercial decision to "downgrade" the capacities of a valid hardware.

Same stupidity as Ubisoft did in his infamous comment on the code of WatchDogs about the downgrade in PC: "Who cares?"

They left clues of what is not done in purpose right in the code.

They didn't mask enough their sins.

    Shame on them.

Yeah, AMD lost a lot of respect from me about this.

How do you add the fps limiter on this new driver? I don't feel like finding the thread again.

I found something about registry codes.

I added the binary value "ModeTimingOverrides_DP_Conn12563" and his hex value to the 14 keys cause i was using DP.

Now i started adding values for "ModeTimingOverrides_DVI_Conn12556" cuse i'm using HDMI (it uses the same _DVI_ sufix as DVI) but after the first was modified...the other 13 was modified automatically!

I have no idea what this could mean.

    ?¿?

That's quite convenient, as I have 27 EDID folder registry entries on my machine, which I edited all Individually yesterday, lol !

I take it that you still have no luck getting crossfire working correctly?

    Still without proper crossfire. :(

    27 EDID? 2 monitors and a TV?

Yes is convenient but i wonder why they are adding automatically after the first one and don't need to be injected.

    Shouldn't be 28?

    14x2?
