Probably because he doesn't have an official response to the appearance of VSR for GCN 1.0 cards in the 15.2 drivers.

 

That's a pity actually. (Both the reason of the absence, if it is indeed that, and the absence itself).

 

AMD PR department is still working (big feat) in an explanation for adults and grown people about two subjects.

- How software tricks could add VSR who was advertised as a hardware only feature to GPUs who haven't this hardware using "high tech" techniques as:

- Reg codes from one driver to other

- Driver mods

- The location of the "phantom" hardware scaler who limits VSR res in 290,290x cards been unable to 4K VSR (who appears with software tricks) and make unnable to add any VSR res to other GPUs who haven't it (untill software tricks).

That will disable everything, give an "explanation" that little parrots can use all the time, and it will never ever let us have what we know we could.
