These are only the ones I've seen around this year that my card can benefit from with VSR without killing performance.

This is unacceptable!

 

To be fair, their Linux driver is might not be on par with the Windows driver yet, but they have provided massive amounts of documentation for the open source driver, who is one of the best in the business.

Additionally, every new Catalyst release closes the gap with Windows, and with Vulkan we'll probably reach full parity.

NVIDIA has better binary drivers, but their open source support sucks. AMD is doing that in the better way IMO.

 

By the way, here is a little guide I wrote so that you can have VSR with the 15.3.1 driver.

Has crossfire been disabled for Dragon age Inquisition?

I notice I had one GPU at 500mhz. My cards at 1100mhz. I saw they disabled it for dying light, wondering if the same for DAI.

A shame too because it was working ok for me, Got serious reduce in performance after updating the driver, unless somethings up in the DAI patch released a few days ago.

EDIT:
I figured out what my issue was. When I installed the new drivers MSI afterburner set my clocks to the lowest settings. Never had that happen before but all is good now.

I can definitely say I see an improvement overall.

 

Well i am still running my ATI 5970 and these drivers actually sorted all issues i had for last 6months !! in games so i am happy.

also my eyefinity no longer goes black...

seems a driver that actually works for me at least.

 

Weird... for me bestviewoption has HDMI at the end of it. The rest is identical to yours.

Also, your settings didn't work for me when I applied them. Seems like I'm fine just downsampling how I always have and getting 2720x1530 instead of being limited to 1440.

 

It was more of a methodology than a drop in replacement.

I clean installed 15.2, and saved the registry settings. Then I enabled VSR and saved the registry settings.

Then I used the Compare Plugin in Notepad++ to which keys were changed, and I put all of them from the ON setting in a .reg file.

Then I clean installed 15.3.1, applied the .reg file and restarted.

Voilá, 2560*1440 in the screen resolutions

The registry settings are different for each PC/Monitor/Driver Installation/Cable Type.

You really need to follow the manual steps, I wish there was something automated I could send.

The closest to automation I did was described here.

 

yea i really need those keys cause i have a bug my super resolution cant activate it
so i need the main reg files like 0000 or 0001 ...
than i copy what i need cause other different numbers card id etc...

What are u trying to do? If you're looking for the right folder it's

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\{13CD7A81-7A8B-4858-90F3-7C609AAD01EF} (key may be different)

Then look in whatever has the most folders, usually top one, then 0000 UMD. The folders correlate to displays, so with one display u only need to change one folder.

U may need to change the other as well, under software. it's If I'm not making sense just ignore me.

 

I am explaining in the links before how to find the place in the registry with the correct keys for your installation.

I have no idea what any of it does

I just compared how the registry looks with VSR on, as opposed to off. I then simply merged the ON keys to a fresh 15.3.1 installation.

 

yea guys i am modding vsr for vga
so i need messing entries state enable disable 1 or 0 310000 or 0000 ....
so i am almost done some are already working but send me your keys please
and for people with vga when i finished i share with u and have a little tweak you can add custom resolution from catalyst and put that res in your favorit game than enter game with exp 2560*1440 screen goes out alt+tab go to catalyst enable screen scal go back game screen fixed and remove again screen scal and now screen size fixed with game running at 2560*1440 even you can check via screen shots res or fps so its manual vsr until i try to make it auto
