You can only get them from WU and I don't have internet on that rig right now.

I have them but for the life of me cannot figure out where they were downloaded to. I am not sure why no one else is wanting to try them on systems and see.

One of the files without extension should be the driver. You can extract it using 7z

I found the file, but 7zip cannot seem to extract it. It can test it so I could see the files within....hmm

On another forum this driver version contains not only freesync but VSR as well. Since I cannot use either I cannot verify myself.

I am gonna assume like the previous win 10 TP AMD Win Update drivers anyone can install them.

/edit okay got the download archive opened, had to add an extension to the file name and make it a cab file to extract.

I'd like to try this driver in 8.1. In Win 10, I was getting 10-15% better framerates than with 14.12 in Win 8.1. I hope somebody figures out a way to do this.

They did it before with the first set of WDDM 2.0 drivers

Is this driver only distributed to Windows 10?

That is not the driver, that's only what you need to install CCC since that is not installed when you get the driver from WU.

Oops--sorry I see you already knew that.

actually it does auto install the ccc as well.....just an fyi.....it confuses me as to why it even bothers putting the folder there if not containing the full driver....since like i said it definitely auto installs everything. I even renamed the folder one time just to see and when it re downloaded the driver it put it right back minus the driver of course.

it just bugs me when you download and install a driver it will put the entire driver and ccc in that folder usually right? or am i mistaken there as well?

im very extreme usually about disk cleaning but i just got through re installing do to what ever it was....if im told where to look the driver should still be on my pc this time since i have not performed any drive cleaning what so ever this time....i have located a bunch of cab files but im not sure which is which not to mention the exact process of putting it in the format you guys need.

anyways trying to follow the instructions from above i find this....and i assume it be the largest file so i copy it to desktop, rename it as a cab file then i get this error after extracting.....but it does appear to be a driver.....i just hate to upload another incorrect file

That looks to be it, if you can extract it. This old Win10 driver has the same naming style as the files/folders pictured(032758c06aaef23a762d5df14c…7edfabf55), so extracting may be all you have to do.

Inside the old one is the folder B180270, and two files named CU177497 (one is an .inf and the other a .cat).

Hope this helps, and thank you for going out of your way for this.

you may to to use the old school method of updating thru device manager for the driver just point to the inf in the folder. the setup will install the ccc but im not sure if it would install the driver.
