it would remain more a marketing plot as usual until something actually done and released.

After all i've been through in that topic.
Thats the Best answer amd could give me.
i will stick with my amd them until i see results.
I will remove it from the marketplaces where I was selling it.
    Thank you AMD.
Now just update the drivers more often and create something to update the profiles for cf. And people will love you even more.
    thank you again.
But we want improvements not only broken promises :)

If it would be a marketing plot, they would make an announcement somewhere like their Twitter, or send out press releases.
This is the actual first step on solving the problem.

This is a step in the right direction. I got to admit, i'm impressed with AMD, not many companies would do this.

I'm glad they are taking steps to improve their drivers and overall gaming experience.

Awesome! Do something about your CPUs while you're at it!

So... they just admin they are not good at driver? lol
p.s. I do not play game, but the video acceleration, driver integration and other bugs really annoying

If this is a direct result of that CPU bottleneck thread we had some time ago, then I say its a worthy direction (both from the community and a very good project initiative by AMD GPU team).

I'd say this, because sometimes the people who call the shots in big companies sometimes do not listen to internal people for suggestions. But when consumers begin to complain about the products, then the issue is elevated to those people (who call the shots).

How did they not have someone qualified for this task already, though? xD

Because for that you need someone Linus Torvalds qualified level. Someone who can do optimizations for crucial parts on assembly level.
That is something compilers take away from any normal programmer and for good reason, it is freaking hard to deal with so many instructions just to do simplest of things.

Wow, really impressed, maybe by the listening of AMD, or maybe by the coincidence of this job and the CPU overhead thread. Whichever it may be, this is indeed a step in the right direction. Here is hoping that by new cpu architecture, they also mean their construction architecture, or actually any cpu in general, and not just the new Zen architecture.

I think it is really, really hopeful that they are actually looking for someone who can help them with the specific problem of CPU overhead.

Hmmm... yeah, that´s at least definitely no bad news.

But to be honest I´m not very excited, they hire one person now to do something, that should have been done long before.
I doubt, that this person can "repair" drivers immediately, that have been developed for years.

Means nothing to me, until we see some more hard earned FPS ingame.

Great news! It seems posting about this stuff really paid off. I think we should also thank people like you, who keep mentioning these problems and keep bringing up this topic.

Thanks! Let the future be bright.

    They have.

But new CPU architectures take time.

This work is obviously done already by the driver team. The drivers are worse than NVIDIA's on the CPU optimization level, but they are not garbage or anything.
One qualified person just for this is not a small investment.

I didn´t say that the drivers are garbage, and i didn´t question the investment. What I say, is, that it´s for sure too late to mean anything for my graphics cards and this GPU generation , and perhaps too late for AMD. however you like to interpret that... I just doubt, that the majority of the AMD 2xx-users would buy an AMD-GPU soon again... and, sry, but that is a home-grown driver-department-problem.
One guy (starting to work on one of the major problems) won´t change the overall picture)
    35% -> 24 % Market Share in last quarter 2014 doesn´t lie
Don´t get me wrong, I think it would be terrible if we had a "AMD-Intel CPU" - like GPU scenario. But at the moment progress looks quite similar to me

Nonetheless I´d love to be wrong, and surprised.
