I've owned several Samsung smartphones... This is hard to believe but EACH one had one or more dead pixels... Some of the phones had a dead/stuck pixel from the very start. The others, after several months suffered with a stuck pixel or two. They were always blue, red and yellow. Despite running apps claiming to remove dead/stuck pixels, nothing worked... I guess quality control in Samsung isn't that great. With regards to Lollipop, a huge update should roll later on this month or the next...
That sucks....I have a Note 4 as so does a buddy of mine, my bff has a note 3 and my lady has a S5 all which have had 0 quality control issues. So far *knocks on wood* hahaha.
Caution is advised regarding stuck pixels on AMOLED screens. While LCD pixels can get stuck and unstuck over time, and flashing RGB in sequence might eventually cause them to get unstuck, AMOLED pixels do not behave the same. Using the same stuck pixel fixers will (in theory at least) deteriorate the pixels over time as the AMOLED panel itself has a (more) finite lifespan than LCD panels, given the pixels themselves emit light. No idea if AMOLED pixels get unstuck by alternating them on / off. Remember that AMOLED is an emissive technology while LCD is a transmissive technology every time you want to compare the two, to see what works for which technology better.
Been using it on my Nexus 5...I don't like it. Some minor functionality downgrades but these minor things are part of what I use everyday (specifically the screen for app-switching no longer ****s off if you press it again when you have no apps running). Unlocking it was weird at first, you have to swipe down-up instead of left to right but I got used to it.
samsung pushing lollisht update to devices but my rooted note 4 is saying ur os changed by unauthorized access . use kies or call customer service. what to do? and if i upgrade to lolli , my root will go? yes i guess. and can i root back again?
for fck sake samsu***305;ng cheated me! as i plugged my Note 4 to KIES 3.0 it said new update. i done..and now phone is back to 4.4.4. ..removed my root..for nothing fcking my freind told me his s5 got lollisht. and so i followed this way
S.Korea Note 4 are getting Lollipop atm, give it a while, few weeks and staggered roll out will eventually hit yours Id imagine Check here for your model number http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
KIES only updates if the version firmware is newer, so there will be some changes Google the firmware version and search for changelog, or check samsungs site, see if they have any changelog Unless KIES thinks your firmware was different to the stock because of Root, and updated you back to stock, but wouldn't have thought so
and what if i upgrade poland ROM? which is only 5 there man how to lollipop my Note 4 right now without official rom update pls?
Make sure only F-RESET TIME & AUTO REBOOT are checked Do not check RE-PARTITION AP - is where you load the .TAR ROM (DO NOT UNZIP FROM .TAR) You need to put the phone into DOWNLOAD MODE & install Samsung Drivers I don't know what will happen with Poland ROM in Turkey for Carrier, Network etc Might be fine, might need to find a modem/radio zip for Turkey to flash Worst comes to worst, flash back to stock Turkey ROM
