Yes he told us all in December how AMD sucked and he was going with Nvidia.
    Ditching AMD to go Nvidia

3mths later we're still hearing it..... like listening to a broken record.

I had stutter cause of fps dips and inconsistent crossfire usage. It's not like it stutter all the time but FPS wasn't what it suppose to be for my system. BTW I'm on 2560x1440 @ 96hz and remember our systems aren't exactly the same.

I think it would have been better without crossfire tbh :D that is what I was wondering.

Ran great on my system aside from pre-patch issues. What about yours?

Not a hitch over here. Closest to stuttering was on friends machine with 7850 and Q6600@3.1ghz it dropped to some 20fps on ultra else stayed around 40.

There's something in Far Cry or maybe Dunia that makes the VRM's cook like crazy, I think it's the trees. Unless the GPU clocks are lowered to about 1000 it will throttle. Only game ever to do that.

Does that happen with both your cards?

The 7850 throttles my 290x goes fine at 1080/1300 that I use it at, I had some stability issues with 290x but that was cause the screws on the cooler were loose so it wasn't properly connecting to the die.

    Same thread.
I said he had a CPU bottleneck in his games after he was complaining of stutter.

Now he says BF4 runs sweet and no bottleneck.

Here's his screenshot from above post showing BF4 history.

Look at the max core load on 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8 before he tabbed out.

so I guess we will have to wait till march to get the 15.2 that anandtech is playing with?

not that omegas are bad at the moment but it seems as if more and more betas are internal for amd. lets call it 15.2 and never release it to the people who use our cards.

I'd favour more betas than we're getting right now certainly, that said, since they dropped the monthly drivers the quality has improved. Just wish they'd start releasing game/crossfire profiles quicker, return to the caps, or via autoupdate ala NVidia Experience or something similar.

It would alleviate a lot of the complaints.

I guess right now, with the fact they're working on a lot of new features, they're potentially a bit wary of releasing very buggy betas and then the rep of the drivers being tarred again.

Interesting. lol. Actually haven't tested on 7950 since I gave that machine to my father just a while a go need to update my specs heh. I think it would have ran just fine on that machine since it ran everything fine when I had it. It ran World of Tanks better then this 290x machine... :D

I actually ran the 7950 @ 1150 usually but lower mem clocks then you.

This is just disrespectful. We don't have any official info when new driver will be released, if it's gonna be beta or WHQL, what changes it has and if Windows 10 will be supported.

    +Mods deleting threads and posts...

There are rumours that they are going to release a new beta in mid Feb and a new driver in april or something.

I am just hoping the changelog of this beta may be big, cause 4 months have passed already since the ómega were compiled.

Maybe this won't be such a miserable week after all with the launch of Ubuntu 14.04.2 and possibly a new Linux desktop driver?
