    But maybe he has now 3.5" longer cable...

    (Yeah, sorry, but this thread may be something where we can troll without actually causing baseless harm to anyone.)

    Have you seen stock market? going from 20.6 to 19.6 in a day. If this goes on I may consider buying some as there will be recovery soon.

    A monitor with a fixed refresh rate becomes dynamic through a driver tweak ? We'd have seen some success stories by now if that driver really could magically overhaul your monitor into a product with a dynamic refresh rate.

    And since freesync / adaptive sync monitors are not yet available ... well.

    He might be able to force enable GSYNC by changing a register in the registry, see above. But I doubt very much much it does anything.

    He has the driver on his site right ? If you install, better check your system for bitcoin miners / virusses or something.

    Update: I just looked closely at his video, I can see VSYNC judder when he enables GSYNC on both instances. So again, he can 'unlock' GSync at software level, but it seems its only kickin in VSYNC mode.

    You can clearly see a difference in the latest video he posted recorded at 240fps. Its in the second link the OP posted. When it's switched on there is no tearing. Now the performance of a GPU on a modded driver is something else entirely.

    There is no doubt its working in the video though.

    I would like to have toilet paper roll of brand which sends them here :)

    But just side note, recording variable refresh rate which does not stutter in real world by 30/60 fps camera immediately introduces stutter upon playback.
    It really requires very fast camera + very fast screen and slowing down of video to remove most of recording based stutter. You can't remove all, it is not technically possible.
