There is another tool just like this that provides additional information and some prettier graphs. I use both tools.

    It is called FLA calculator

it's actually two tools, one is the calculator that gives you basic functionality like FTA, and another tool called presenter where you can pretty up your graphs and tweak them to look professional.

he also released another program called bench studio that looks absolutely amazing.

I don't know what's up with these drivers (all source games have been running great without any issues for a month).

ARMA 3 on the other hand white screens (freezes) after about two-six hours of gameplay before all textures turn white no matter my graphical settings.

I think the black screens problems are unrelated to drivers.
I experienced my first black screen WHILE PLAYING a game today. I was playing BF4 and all of a sudden my FPS went to hell, and GPU usage to 0%, and then adios. Then the entire PC became completely unresponsive. Not frozen, but I couldn't do anything but hard reset.

This is with 14.4 Catalyst. I am starting to think R9 290/x is bugged piece of **** hardware really.

I picked up a new Gigabyte 290x on sale last week for $300, its running great so far on the Omega drivers. The only issues I've seen were when I was finding the overclock limits - random blank frames or a frame with an artifact pattern. Crashes entirely if pushed too far, but no surprise there. Seems stable at 1150/1380 core/mem. Core temps in the 70s most of the time, yeah this thing definitely puts out some heat but my HAF-XM is up to the job.

One of my VRM temps is typically 10c higher than the other, but its still reasonable under load. 82c on the first vrm is about the highest Ive seen under BF4. Furmark shot the temp on the first vrm to 90 so fast that I killed the app. I checked the heatsink, seems secure but I'd rather not remount unless it becomes a problem. The weird part is the VRM with the high peak temp also has the lower idle temp

At 1180 core it can hit 5515 in firestrike extreme, but its not completely stable at that speed. Scores 5300 at the stable 1150/1380 speeds.

VSR works great in Starcraft 2 and DOTA (downscaling 2560x1600 to 1920x1200). I can finally run the Witcher 2 with everything max'd except ubersampling and keep 60fps with vsync :) - VSR in the Witcher cant keep 60 all the time so I hope we will see an option for something closer to a 25% oversample instead of the current 50% available to me.

BF4 @ 1920x1200 with everything ultra, 2xMSAA, and 120% resolution scale holds 60/vsync'd except for a few specific map areas on 64 player. On Siege of shanghai 64 conquest many areas stutter considerably when the viewport is pointed towards the center of the map. My friend sees the same problem on his 4790k + dual 7970s, and I think its been like this since the game was released.

No complaints for my first week with this new card. Yep, its hot alright. Like hot buttery frames pouring from my monitor, melting my eyeballs and scalding their sockets. :eek:c:

  9. Pixel format again does not stick in these drivers... Also I agree about the rare artefacts.

Black screens aren't related to the drivers, as Nvidias 9 series get them as well.

What are they related to, and which black screens do you mean anyway? There are two types as far as I can tell.

Not sure, could be hardware, as lots of people have RMA'd their cards for new ones, which has sorted it.

Most of them are memory releated. Poor voltage controllers.

adding 25mv seems to fix a great majority of them.

Hey guys, just a quick question.

    I have a 6950 and recently installed 14.12.

I was wondering if anyone here also plays ESO with 14.12. I'm asking because I started seeing some texture corruption appear for just a second before everything goes back to normal. It can happen anywhere in the game, no pattern. Saw it inside Elden's Hollow, Cyrodiil, etc.

Being playing since beta and never had any issues. Can't be overheating since temps are maxing way below 60º.

Can it be the drivers? Didn't notice any issues with previous drivers.

Just wanted to know if anyone else got this issue.

Thanks a lot for your time!

I'm still having a lot of issues with 280X crossfire in BF4. A singe card works great, but in crossfire, I have extreme drops with Mantle, and with DX my CPU bottlenecks like crazy.

Anyway, how's crossfire support for Far Cry 4 and Sleeping Dogs Definite Edition coming along? Also, regarding VSR for GCN 1.0, could we get an ETA? Like, which quarter of this year, or perhaps which half of it?

    Thanks

Far Cry 4 Crossfire flickering was fixed with update 1.6 or 1.5, but if you have that version of the game you can use AFR friendly mode now and have working Xfire, but SMAA becomes weird and you have to turn that off and use MSAA or no AA instead.

I thought VSR isn't coming to GCN 1.0 cards?

Have you ever deleted the 2 MantlePipelineCache files?

Since you say that one card works great, when dropping in the second card (or enabling second card) you should be deleting these 2 files before restarting game. These files are initially created at first game start using the current GPU configuration and Mantle version. When you then change GPU configuration and/or mantle version, then there may be incompatibilities/inconsistencies encountered when your new config/mantle version loads using these cached files created under your old configuration.

Files are found in your Documents / Battlefield 4 / cache folder.

What resolution and image quality settings are you using? Perhaps you're exceeding the 3gb video memory limit of your gpu. Are you using full screen mode?

We're waiting on the new patch from Ubisoft before we can test to see if Crossfire can be re-enabled in this title.

Hmm I thought that only affected the Steam version.

Checking via SteamDB for Far Cry 4's app history:
    https://steamdb.info/app/298110/history/

There's the release of a patch about a month ago for this change number.
    # Change #804678 (?)

    Code:
        298111/encryptedmanifests/rus/encrypted_gid: 441005…7D262F
        298111/encryptedmanifests/test/encrypted_gid: 441005…7D262F

        branches/public/buildid: 450414 › 461667

    That's update 1.6

Then about 18 days ago for this change number.
    # Change #828257 (?)

    Code:
        298111/encryptedmanifests/test/encrypted_gid: 4E011D…AE218B
        298111/manifests/public: 8185591839703607505 › 2686697146620978714
        298112/encryptedmanifests/rus/encrypted_gid: B39F34…F0D987
        298112/manifests/public: 5232560324101953298 › 2034351499510006303
        298113/encryptedmanifests/test/encrypted_gid: 243D1D…6A8B1B
        298113/manifests/public: 4454008561315016098 › 7349848772780953379
        branches/public/buildid: 461667 › 481507

(298111 is the "AppID" for the core Far Cry 4 files, 298112 is the RU localization and 298113 is WW or WorldWide for English and others.)

There's another patch and that must have been the hotfix, there's been no update for the UPlay version so I assumed it was not affected by this issue.

And five days ago the "test" branch got updated again which I would assume if for the next big patch of 1.7.0 or what it might be called.

EDIT: Well I guess it doesn't matter now since Ubisoft has just released update 1.7.0
