    Just about every game in the last year or so that couldn't get at least 50fps on a 570, so lots lol.

    AC Unity as well because I'm sure that will be the game i likely chose for free.

    Off to bench the hell out of the 570, always nice to see how slow the old hardware is beforehand :)

    I said Graphics score. I don't know why you guys look at the combined score. We are comparing GPU OC.
    We all have the same GPU here. But everyone have a different CPU. What's the point comparing CPU scores.

    The combined score with my CPU is 9964. But I haven't seen a game yet that pushed it to 100%. It's a bottleneck only in benchmarks for now.

    Anyway, here is the Fire Strike result: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/3596380

    Nice!

    My max gpu score so far is only a measly 1286X (dont remember the last number duh), at 1550mhz, 7700mhz memory. I've seen a few folks get more at this frequency, so probably mine needs a tiny volt bump. Also Because 1512/7700 was 12586.

    Does the GTX970 has some kind of throttling in case someone goes overboard with OC? Because I dropped the clocks a little from my previous OC just to be in the safe zone and got even better Graphics score with lower clocks.
    13291 Graphics Score compared to previous 13121 Graphics Score.

    Even passed 10k combined score with my ancient CPU.

    If you're overclocking/benchmarking with boost then anything from voltage, power limit/tdp, or temperature can be limiting. Certain boost tables have it so the clocks go down when it reaches a certain temperature.

    http://www.3dmark.com/fs/3600137 almost broke 14K but still wasnt able to for graphics score. Maybe I'll tweak the BIOS more later :X

    If anyone wants to test out the new BIOS for MSI 970 Gaming/Golden Editions I made a post on OCN:

    BIOS Comparison: MSI GTX 970 Golden Edition -> MSI GTX 970 Golden Edition (latest)

    Version: 84.04.2F.00.F9 -> 84.04.31.00.F9
    Checksum: B1 - [B1] -> CB - [CB]
    Date: 11/03/14 -> 11/23/14
    Name: NV316MH.1F2 -> NV316MH.1F3

    BIOS Comparison: MSI GTX 970 Gaming Edition -> MSI GTX 970 Gaming Edition (latest)

    Version: 84.04.2F.00.F1 -> 84.04.31.00.F1
    Checksum: BB - [BB] -> EE - [EE]
    Date: 10/29/14 -> 11/19/14
    Name: NV316MH.182 -> NV316MH.184

    I was able to squeeze a little more on 3DMark, not too sure on changes though. **Flash at your own risk, if you have no problems or you're unsure about flashing you probably don't need to**

    You can also find this on MSI's official by using their updater.

    Did you increase the voltage or the Power limit to reach those clocks?

    I was capped out at +87mW and +110% PL so I was at 1.25V.

    I could try squeezing more by modifying the BIOS to give me a little more on PL and maybe a voltage mod, but I'm not entirely sure if it even accepts those voltages :/ as I tried 1.27 last time and it didnt make a difference so maybe would have to wait till the BIOS editor fully supports voltage tweaking.

    I knew I was capping out as whenever I increased Core by +5MHz it would give a lower score, and if I increased RAM w/ the same Core it would also result in lower score hehe

    The Gigabyte G1 cards have a good chunk of TDP unlocked :)

    I've tried various apps to see how much the TDP goes to, 81% at stock 1.212volts at 1506.5 is the max. Only furmark takes the TDP to new levels, but its kinda unfair.

    Also as far as getting more for the same clock goes, a few people saying in the BIOS editing thread back @ OCN, raising L2C,XBAR, to same as core clocks will mean higher scores at lower clocks. I might try that, but too bad I bought skyrim. You know the rest :p

    My bad. True, most post combined score.. and you're absolutely right, should be graphics score to compare in 970 thread. Anyway good show on your i5 750 to have broken 10k.

    My graphics score 13311, max boost 1508. Mem 7732 mhz.

    My graphics score around 26000 but then I have two, so 13000 sounds about right for one :)
    The combined score though shows bettor how your computers can deal with modern games as a whole, which is what bench marks are all about to me? ;)

    19830 combined score :)

    Is the Gaming Edition .184 for both Samsumg and Hynix versions?

    Ive got Samsung ram on my card. I know initially there was seperate vbios for Samsung and Hynix (.125 and .126 iirc), but they appear to be unified since .182 ??

    What is the first thing I do? How do I get rid off the AMD remnants completely
    What drivers do ye recommend?

    I have been out of the loop for awhile now.....Is this the best bang for the buck Nvidia card at the moment ?

    With this run the new stuff at high settings with AA and a little down sampling and still get good framerates ?

    Thanks for any input

    Installed the card earlier today and it's been great so far, games that were unplayable are now more than playable.

    3D Mark has been particularly amazing, saw nearly 3 times the performance in some tests.

    One big issue though, and i don't think this has been asked yet, but I apologise if it has.
    At every boot, there is around 2-3 mins of black screen, then the card bios kicks in, no board bios and then it boots into Windows, so a 5minute boot time instead of 30-45mins :(

    Motherboard Bios wipe like I probably should of done,or something else?

    For sure, it's unbeatable at the price IMO and if you're gaming at 1080p you'll be able to max out or nearly max out any game that's not coded poorly (AC Unity). My MSI gaming edition was shipped today so I should have her in a few days, before pulling the trigger I read and watched a lot of videos and benchmarks and it's a fantastic card.

    Well coming from 1x570 it's night and day, 2-3 times the performance in most situations, especially when higher levels of AA is used.

    It's by far the best bang for buck high end gpu on the market, regardless of brand.
