What advantage does replacing the missing CUDA files give you?

Is it purely for video decoding ?

Aiseesoft video converter uses cuda cores to encode video. h264 mp4 or h264 avi. This program is in my free software thread.
    http://www.aiseesoft.de/pcwelt/total-video-converter/
Both gpu`s appear to be encoding as msi afterburner shows both gpu`s at 3d clocks. Very fast solution compared to cpu encoding.

It is purely for video encoding using the old NVCUVENC API. For GPUs older than Kepler, NVCUVENC is the only way to get GPU-accelerated video encoding. The new NVENC API which is meant to replace NVCUVENC is only available in Kepler and newer GPUs.

Video decoding via NVCUVID is unaffected and still supported for the foreseeable future.

Thanks, so if I don't do encoding, there is no need to mess about with CUDA files then ?

i've tried new and last nero. doesn't nvidia nvenc, it's old cuda.
the new nvidia nvenc it's like intel quick sync, with minimal utilization of cpu & gpu
i use at the vso software an he has 17% utilization, temperature 40 at 4.7 ghz.
that's the new and wonderful software, nvidia nvenc
