Any change notes for the new update? It's pretty small. *edit* It seems to still be downloading even though it's hit 100% : T
Yeah, it takes it's time... I paused it and then resumed, it showed 0% for some time again, and then it was done. Don't know about it's contents though, it looks fairly small for anything really changing...
Nothing worth to mention. GENERAL - Increasing platform security Yesterday i saw some additional "fixes" like better cheat detection.
Just picked up Premium~ So many new things to do~ Got it from EB games, They don't have it out with all the games, they keep it behind the counter... I wish I knew this sooner :/
Guys I have a question about recording. I finally upgraded my machine and it is powerful enough to to recording. What is the best program to use? I always watch youtubers "LevelCap", "Matimio", "Xfactorgaming" etc. Their videos so smooth and good quality. Do you know what they use? And also what do you guys use? I tried Fraps but files a huge and I am not sure about quality. For example Corrupt. What do you use? I like your videos. What program do you use for editing? Thanks in advance.
Yeah.. I remember one of them is using Shadow Play.. he did a video about it a little while ago. Another good one that I can vouch for is Bandicam.. it lets you record directly into specific youtube presets. *edit* le whut... Arrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Why don't they let us all do that.... I would be so happy if I didn't have to use a freaking internet browser to play BF4.
They are testing Night Time versions of maps!!! all I can say is omg yes make it server side setting!!! Finally a use for torches and night vision!?
Yeah it's on CTE already apparently. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gp1qzuczhZs Gonna check it out for sure! EDIT: Hmmm i think it was just some kind of Halloween thing.
I love that map.. um.. I don't know it's name yet.. but it's quite a dark map.. and when you are flying a jet and you loop in the sky you can see the stars... that is a really nice map.
I use Shadowplay as well. Before that I used MSI Afterburner. Both have the option to record to memory instead of the disk. You press a shortcut if something amazing or decent happens and it'll record the last X seconds/minutes of gameplay to your HDD. I believe one of the more professional youtubers has like 24 or 32GB ram, odds are he's recording entire matches like this to ram. Less disk trashing this way. Also 2 decent options that won't eat your framerate away. My older 2 BF3 videos were done with fraps and that wasn't ideal, I was playing with like 60 ish fps, which feels laggy imo.
I think the advantage of Afterburner is you can set it to pre-record as long as your ram will allow (I think Shadowplay has a time limit) . I have 32 gigs of ram and set aside 16 gigs for pre-recording. That is usually enough to hold a match. If nothing cool happens I never have to save it either. Really, there are a lot of great programs for recording anymore. I own Dxtory, Playclaw, Bandicam, Action!, Have a subscription for X-Split (gamecaster and Broadcaster). I also use Afterburner w/RTSS, OBS , and Raptr. Action! used to be my go to app because it literally would cause zero performance hit, but something happened and now it turns off my Crosfire when I stream. Now I use Playclaw when I stream because I can still maintain pretty close to 100 fps while streaming at 720p and playing at 1440p ultra in BF 4, and the quality is pretty decent for twitch. here is a 1 minute highlight to show you the quality and framerate with Playclaw, really excellent. Keep in mind that was a stream. http://www.twitch.tv/the9quad/c/5722145 By the way the absolute worst is X-Split Gamecaster, quality is awful and you really cant adjust it much. here is gamecaster so awful: http://www.twitch.tv/the9quad/c/5722159
Personally I think NVIDIA should add a 2nd button for record to RAM: LONG & SHORT. Short basically records the last 30 seconds (aka epic spraydown, jumpshots, ...). Long records X minutes based upon the time you set (and your RAM of course). This would basically reduce disk trashing to a bare minimum. My youtube vids could be higher quality, but with a 740 kbit upload speed, I have to make size considerations when uploading. Usually I tend to go pretty big (that last video was about 2 GB for 13 minutes) and let it upload overnight.
