Can someone post a quick guide on here for install of Sunsets mod. I'm hoping I'm not the only idiot who doesn't know what to do with the files :)

    1. go to far cry 4/data_win32/
    2. back up patch.dat and patch.fat
    3. replace original patch.dat and patch.fat with sunset file

Thanks! Not seeing any performance boost TBH. Would like to see the DOF implemented though.

EDIT: SweetFX isn't working with the patch, at least not when using RadeonPro. Works on start up when running through the loading screens but not at the main menu or in game.

Ok. So far, after half hour of gaming, I can say stuttering it´s almost gone with this mod for me. Finally!!!. Quality on ultra (except motion blur and AA), eFX (sweetFX for Win8.1) with SMAA injector and all the NVIDIA.GAMEWORKS. On the other hand, I can see quality differences in textures, especially in soldiers when you register them for items or in wood when you look closely... anyway I prefer the game with this mod.

Thank you very much Sunset for your effort.

I had a good laugh when I saw that this was PM only. :3eyes:

I'm glad the author seems to have changed his mind. However, I do not experience any perceptible gains from this "mod".

The author has been asked a couple of times now, what exactly, it is that he is changing. The only responses have been that he's not strong in English so he can't tell you. And then he simply linked to the same lacking statement for the next fellow who inquired about his work.

Type it out in your native language and leave it to me or others to decipher, if that's the real cause for the lack of any explanation. Transparency is key in such an instance.

EDIT: Just asking... but have you considered the suggestion that was given in this thread to use the smaller patch files rather than enormous GB+ downloads? ..given your limited upload capacity and all.

I do not have to explain, for what I did, in fact, I said that my patch increases performance, and that's it, especially on older pc

I tried the mod. Stuttering is definitly gone, but the mountains rocks look pretty ugly! Their textures are too reduced imho.
From far away you can't feel the difference, but as you get closer its a mess!
