    I get ~ 12gb/s as well..This is @ 1240mhz boost, vram stock 6ghz.

I think its pcie2.0 limit, pcie3.0 does better.. Check my old bandwidth with pcie2.0 capable gpu

All IvyBridge and newer have 10gb+

I was thinking on that =(.
In game we dont have that dirence or do we? from 2.0 8x to 3.0 8x?
is it worthed droping my 2600k and get a 3770k as we are talking about some sort of bottleneck?

    Thanks

It may help a little but nothing drastic imo, this bandwidth is mostly for cuda/ direct compute and gpu to ram communication in those scenarios.

Anyone else get MASSIVE CPU temp spike towards the end of the CPU test?

My CPU spiked to 99C on two cores and 88C on the others.

Thermal paste is applied properly, fans are max speed and cooler is NZXT Kraken X61 gaming temps for over 5 hours only JUST break over 60C on a warm day normally around 55C.

CPU is stable 10 loops of Asus Realbench, and 5 hours in AIDA64 and OCCT linpack mode 90% memory usage. Only on 1.24v @ 4.5GHz and uncore is at stock speeds not tried overclocking that.

    its fpu "issue", like prime95.

try standalone sinjulia/mandel or opencl cpu tests in gpu caps viewer same uber heat output.

Says 1329, but this is actually 1598 boost, ofc its unstable, just wanted to see what around 1600 would fetch me :p

    1512 is around 4.73, 1540 around 4.8, 1575 is 4.9

anyway to fix it? or it this just a faulty design choice from Intel?

Is it their choice to use paste instead of solder between the IHS and CPU die?

    I have aircooler CM 212 EVO. :) it gets 95ºC!??!? :eek3: But... HT enabled (to 4-core + 4-HT) causes more heat... ;)

VRAM bandwidth's real speed of this new GPU has greatly surprised and impressive!! Woww!! :D Because NVIDIA said only max 1.08 TB/s of this GPU. :)
