Chiphell is usually on the money with leaks.

That aside, from what i've been reading its the 380x and not the 390x and that would kinda makes sense on the power consumption vs SP side of things.

    Anyhow looks interesting.

Well at least performance wise it looks pretty neat. Yet I'd like to see the price for this performance, since it has to at least meet the 980 pricing to become attractive... if it's more than the 980 it's no big deal if it's faster, imho.

Yet again, I think the Titan2 might still beat it in terms of performance, if the rumored specs of it are true.

Looks alright. Beating everything is what we expected. I just hope this isnt just a rumor due we dont know the real name of the card yet.

Yeah, from a translation, its only the midrange 380X (supposedly).

Now if true that brings AMD back in to the power / performance game pretty much perfectly. While being 14% faster in that then 980 and 22% faster then 290x. It would be decent bumb.

For some reason after recent power bill I would consider buying 980 or 380x :D 290x is a beast and a good card but yeah.

The Titan II will run faster, have better performance and also run on less power, I guarantee it.

On a side note I got offered a 290x today for £150 from work colleague.....I said nar, ill wait.

I believe that those are excellent news for someone planning the purchase, for both teams. The sooner this card will be available the better.
I like ShadowPlay recording and G-Sync, and I hope that this new competition will decrease the prices of GTX980 :)

I was hoping more (unless this is the midrange part)... However, if they price is competitively, this could be nice.

Depending on price I think I might sell off my 780 and grab one.

I always take these results with a grain of salt. If they're true, then awesome - I look forward to its release. Also, that would mean I'm glad I didn't buy a R9 285, because that means GCN 1.2 has already been obsoleted. I'm sure a handful of the 300 series will be GCN 1.2 based, maybe even 1.1. But if these results are true, they're a little too good for the tested GPU to not be a GCN 1.3.

I really hope AMD fixes this mix'n'match thing they've got going on. If they're going to continue it, I would hope all R9 GPUs would be either GCN 1.2 or 1.3, and I then R7 would be GCN 1.1 or 1.2. But I'm sure that won't happen.

If it is only midrange it would be phenomenal tbh.

Now that would be amazing. Imagine this is 380X and cost 350$ while beating 980? Oh, my that would take nvidia by the balls. :D

It will probably perform better than the card in this rumor, but I doubt the power will be less. It will probably also cost $1000, so yeah.

That being said, the rumor states it's a 390x. If that's the case I'm really not impressed. All this speculation of HBM, 20nm and double the shaders and then we get a benchmark with a 16% increase over a relatively small chip from Nvidia? And the author is shocked by that? Come on.

Stock would flying off the shelves if that's how it went :p; I assume this is the 390(X) though.
