    hi

I tried LOD bias with COD4 SP and it didn't work!
I even put LOD bias at -3.0000 and there was no difference at all
Negative LOD is set to allow
    Guz's patch didn't work
Driver controlled Lod Bias off didn't work

    I have win8.1 64bit, gtx 570 (344.48)

    thanks

    Same here.

I haven't tried using negative lod bias for ages, since the days I had a 8800GT, but I tried it yesterday on my 970 with Win7x64 and the latest drivers in a couple of dx9 games and it just doesn't work not even when set to -3. I tried all combinations of "allow", "clamp", controlled by driver..

Positive bias though? It works like a charm.

Anyone can provide proof that negative lod bias still works on modern cards and drivers or do the people that claim it does haven't tested it for a long looong time?

I see negative LOD difference right away in something like COD4 MW multiplayer maps. Usually I use -0.500 or it can shimmer too much.

I tried turning off Driver controlled Lod Bias im my Swtor profile do to this game haveing always swaping form high to low texture, in hopes it was the reason this happens and happens only with this game.

It didnt help sadly guess its the game the issue which is no surprised.

^^Have you tried this Method? Negative LOD-Bias if "Allow" or "Clamp" does not matter, since no function with Fermi and newer GeForce Cards.

I not fan of - LOD makes picutre look to sharp/Grainy, but if your using SSGAA which will blur the image that it usefull, but i dont use SSGAA

Special in those skyrim pictures definitely prefer how it looks in 337.50 drivers

Also this "reply mode all" can be buggy by certain games, e.g. FEAR1 it caused some weird texture glitches or was it in another game, idk anymore.

But I saw at least 4 out of 10 games had issues with this setting..

Yes. :) For negative LOD give more apparent detail as well as making the Scene crisper, but Undersampling which can caused horrendous Texture-Shimmering or other negative Side-Effects and is not really recommended. For SGGSAA or partly TXAA negative Texture-LOD Bias can be very useful.
This Setting "AA_MODE_REPLAY_MODE_ALL" is the only Method to change different DirectX LOD-Levels without activating SGSSAA in nV Inspector, this other Driver-Controlled LOD Bias Switch is for SGSSAA only, if you wish Automatic-LOD Adjustment yes/no (Driver-Default are enabled).

The LOD bias resets every time I launch CS:GO. This isn't the case for ARMA 3. Any idea why this is?

These are the settings I've tried so far, going over a dozen sources. Valve disabled the change of ambient occlusion because of a "see-through smoke" exploit, and I have a feeling they did the same for LOD bias.

If LOD bias is in fact locked in CS:GO, then how can I dump the textures through Gedosato? (Dump Texture doesn't seem to work for CS:GO)

I've noticed this as well. It's a shame.
