It appears to look as good as FC3, if it runs as smooth, I'll be a happy customer :)

Ultra settings, HDAO, 4xMSAA at 60 FPS consistently...

Even that remains to be seen. Not only the last games from ubi have made me skeptical but a lot of recent multiplatform games have run like crap.

I guess we'll know in a week though.

Problem is, Ubi Kiev is doing the port this time, and they just did the port for Unity and they also did Black Flag.

I think I'm going to wisely wait for first impressions here.

But, the big main difference is that the engine being used in the FarCry games was developed for PC games.
Dunia was designed from the first CryEngine to be a PC focused engine. And it has stayed that way through FC3.

You can't say that about the Assassin's Creed engine. It was designed for consoles first, and the thing is, Unity is having performance problems on all platforms. Not just PC.

I read the NeoGAF threat about this issue and many people are optimistic :) Let's hope for the best. I personally also have more faith in this game than ACU. I managed to finish FC3 but have yet to complete AC4.

It has and it sucks! There are too many better games out there. I'll wait til its about $5 on a steam sale. That's what I paid for Mass Effect 3.
The 1st one was some much better than this repetitive garbage they are making now.

Goat, if you don't like the series, get out if the thread. You just keep posting the same sh!t over and over again... seems a bit silly, we are aware you don't like it.

Yeah, it's one thing to express a dislike about the game. Or to discuss certain things that you personally don't like.
But, when all you do is flood a thread with the same "This game sucks!!" comments over and over... it's just annoying.

But, I just pre-purchased through GMG. Got it for about 40 bucks.
Since I'll be off Wed and Thurs for Thanksgiving the week after it's release, but my wife has to work... I'll at least have something to do.

What code did you use to get it at $40? The ones I've tried aren't working...

I was able to get it through GMG's "VIP" section, so it was discounted to 47 there. Then I had a few bucks saved up in credit on the site.

I couldn't find a code that worked to take it down any either.

The UPlay preload is up, game is 30 GB and just like AC: Unity the exe (And it's Dunia.dll file which this engine relies on.) is missing so it's not playable although as with Unity retail sold copies should work even on PC. :)

Steam preload will probably follow soon too.

^^All three of those reviews are using the exact same Ubi issued screenshots. Thats made my mind up about FC4 and also to never use one those three websites for honest reviews.

    Crooks, the lot of them.
