Plasma is a gaseous material which is ionized due to high temperature. In other words, creating plasma is an endothermic process, requiring inputting huge amounts of energy to achieve it. So using plasma as an energy source would involve reversing the process (to exothermic). Doing that would require even more energy input, especially as plasma is extremely volatile. So in short, plasma is not an energy source, rather an energy consumptor (as mass has already been converted to energy when plasma is created). PS: I would expect that the "supreme beings" know this, if I know this. The laws of physics surely remain the same throughout the universe.

Considering that the universe is estimated to be approximately ~14 billion years old, the Earth ~5 billion, and humanity ~2.5 million - I'm open minded to the possibility of much, much older intelligent alien civilisations existing out there. Imagine an alien civilisation that is much more intelligent than we are, one that doesn't know of war, and have been in existence for billions of years. What sort of potential do you think that would create?
