Is there a way to change difficulty in this game once you started? I shouldn't have picked Survivor. I find the game rather difficult.

Also - has anyone with Windows 8.1 managed to get RadeonPro + SweetFX combo to work with this game? I can't get it to work at all.

You can change the difficult setting in the general settings section, you will have to restart the chapter you are on though.

Hopefully they will remember to adjust the FOV to match, or let us change it our selves. Either way its good to know they will offer a way to change it in game.

Problem is that by the time they release a patch I'll probably be done with the game :(

Its not that bad. I'm having 60fps most of time, with some dips here and there. Pushing CPU all the way to 4.8Ghz for this one. :D

I thought SLI didn't work in this engine... AFR2 or just FEAR3 profile works pretty good, with GPU's scaling well; at least when they aren't being CPU limited that is is any large area. 4.6ghz OC and this thing runs down to 40fps at times just maxing out the first CPU core. Sad.

On the 360 the low res are really a game breaker. It´s hard to spot small items and even some foes.
    Terrible.

After playing this on the PS4, it feels to splinter cell what Sniper Elite Zombies is to Sniper Elite.. just a mod or dlc zombie addon. Rather play the old school res games than this.

Sorry, but... how does this compare to Splinter Cell at all?

That would be an incredibly weak comparison.
Hell, Shadow of Mordor has stealth...

Stealth doesn't make up that big of a part of The Evil Within. And how it works is nothing like Splinter Cell.

I found the stealth was only needed towards the start of the game, the further I progressed the less and less I used it. Certainly didn't feel like splinter cell, to me....

I love shooting them in the head and seeing chunks fly off... then they keep going after you. :D
My favorite is definitely the few times I've shot a hole directly through the guys head and he keep coming.

    Yes. :D

There's so many things I'm really loving about this game.
I'm excited for the DLC releases. Playing as 'The Keeper' could be cool, but I'm looking forward to seeing Kidman's story.
