    YES ! It works !!!!

    Ok soooo :

I succeeded in playing smoothly with the normal version (Ultra textures, High Details (shadows to Medium and HBAO+ High), SMAA).

To do this, I had to overclock my rig, expecially GPU's VRAM, put the game on a SSD, and launch it with the parameter " -disablepagefilecheck".

I used too a tip to have a decent vsync : set in gamerprofile.xml frequence to 120hz and Vsync to 1. Then put the file Read-Only. Vsync will act only when FPS > 60fps.

Thanks to everybody ! The game is now acceptable for me. I even found a New Game + save to redo the game without having to unlock everything !

    heli flare

hey everybody, again, i made a new lens flare for the heli
There is a slight issue though, sometime you can see the squared outline of it
i tried using high contrast and brightness to smoothen out those edges on paint.net but it is still a bit there, not really though
here it is just in case you wanted to see, http://imgur.com/0WxWOWM,XgziDr6,TllUhDu
and here are the files so you guys can edit and fix this, do you like it so far?
i think this flare will be awesome to have once it is fixed, i will work on it too :)

alright i think i fixed it, here is the link to the possible fix
    http://1drv.ms/1zcWp5Q
this is with a little more tweaking to the dds
i already converted the dds to an xbt which is in the folder specified as ''xbt'' try it out
place the xbt file in graphics/textures/lights
please tell me if it is fixed, and also feed back would be nice too :)

just in case you did not see the link before

Yeah, it does not have a prefab in it, just a texture called anamorphic lens flare
the lens flares that you speak of are just called lens flare in the directory
pretty much it won't affect anything except for the helicopter lens flare :)

    Hi Marduk !

I dont know if it is since you updated the core to final or if i never noticed the issue before, but even without the "always rain" mod ; it rains a lot ! it's like 50% time.

Are you sure you didnt change anything ?

Could you also tell me which value has to be changed in windy_city to reduce/increase rain probability ?
    is it fRainTimeScalePower ?

    Thanks a lot !

Same observation. It's rain too often. Ok it's good for screenshots but not realistic. It should rain 20% of the time. Maybe will it be possible to add snow (buy playing with DDS and the speed of the rain) ?

Is it possible to make a patch or change it in the future ?

so about making the blackout have a larger distance, how do i do that, it is not as cinematic as before because there are a couple of buildings in the background of the buildings that have been blacked out already....

I don't know how to make those buildings turn the lights off. Maybe It has something to do with the LUA, idk. I've tried to increase "BlackoutBlockSize" but it didn't help.
I tried to drive to those buildings during the blackout and they just turn the lights off if you get close enough. And if you move away from them they turn the lights back on.
Just think of them like they have a backup power or just haven't connected to ctOS yet.:)

the blackout range is affected by the building kill distance in defaultrenderconfig... when i used my ultra level of detail instead of vanilla ultra, mine blackout out more buildings... SO, if you want more building to be caught in the blackout, go for the kill distance :)
