Oooh. Thats a great point. Its like people arent amazed by todays view on technology of the future (computers etc, like in the days of Star Trek) and we're at the point where old technology is more interesting than the new stuff. "lack of guidance will deter some" - Gamesradar. Count me in.
I've been charged for the PS4 version this morning so ShopTo.net should send it tomorrow for Monday delivery if I'm lucky. I was going to buy it on PC but I figured this game will be far more atmospheric and tense when played on a large screen HDTV with surround sound, which my PC unfortunately does not have access to. I'm very much looking forward to this game due to the fact that it is not another generic first-person shooter with the Alien license slapped on. I think Creative Assembly deserve praise for that even if the gameplay isn't a complete success (I'm reading in some reviews that the game is too long/overstays its welcome for example).
As long as its not as bad as the Library mission from Halo one (i genuinely wanted to put a cattle blot pistol to my head)...then i think well be fine.
Wow amazing score from PC Gamer and they are very reliable. http://www.pcgamer.com/alien-isolation-review/
CVG gave the game a score of 8/10. Solid 60FPS on the PC. Consoles suffer once again with the FPS dropping to below 30 at certain points. http://www.computerandvideogames.co...st-use-of-a-license-since-arkham-city-review/
Gamegpu have not added the 970/980 yet to their benchmarks. I'm curious to know to what extend their better compute capabilities translate into games.
Think ill give it a miss, looks boring as hell just wandering about for 20+ hrs, hiding from the alien when it appears, until it buggers off before you carry on again.
I don't know what to do, I wanted to get it on my PS4 to enjoy it on my new surround system in the living room but it's capped at 30 and seems to dip below that... Seeing the benchmarks I can easily pull 120+ frames on my gtx 680 sli on pc. Are the new consoles that weak?! it's absurd
Is the 30fps cap confirmed ? I thought they could get this to run at 60, it runs pretty damn fine on PC even on 7870 class GPUs. It's primarily a GPU bound game.
I've actually nothing against amd gpus, in fact i'd say i give my fellow NVidia users a harder time. some can put up with it, and those are appreciated for sure.
Anyway, good or bad, i ask me how this game can look with an Occulus Rift Could maybe cost too much on Psy therapy after that. Ok, no problem so.
Lol, no The pc is in my "office" at the house... I can get a really long HDMI cable and play with a wireless controller, I've been planning on doing that for a long time, maybe I'll do it for this game. I just don't like the fact that it has framerate issues on the consoles while it really seems that a midrange pc can run it perfectly fine on 60 fps.
