    Rome2 went from 45fps to 86.2fps! Nice!

ok my firestrike score for 580 was 5141 :( here goes..

9606...much better. Was a bit of a lag fest previously now a lot smoother..

Testing done for the mo..will overclock soonish..(have to read up a bit on what to do..I guess you whack up power limit and add some volts..then slowly slowly catchey monkey)

Ok nice to see at least in firestrike score isnt much different compared to some others with good new CPUs.

Still would like to see some results on some games.
So if you have lots of games etc you go test them feel free to post results here so I can see :D

    Would the 970 be a nice upgrade from a single 680 2gb?

Yes. You will see a bit of a improvement across the board.

Still no answer to the (maybe obvious question) but - does one have to run DDU before installing new cards?

hmm. mine MSI looks like defective.... it's impossible to maintain low idle temps in passive mode. If I turn PC it start to raise temps very slowly from 30°C to 60°C with 0% GPU load. I tried mount up bigger (140mm) and more effective case fans and still 55°C in idle.

maybe it's just older BIOS or something... passive cooling just doesn't work

That's pretty normal. Passive mode will only stay in reasonable digits if you have good airflow.

Just use a custom fan profile and you're laughing.

Save up for another 970 and that 1440p screen. Buy cheap booze and cheap hookers but were a "raincoat"

mitzi, I think you've put a stamp on it for me.. I was wondering if I should upgrade my entire rig, but it seems a 970 will fit nicely with a 920 @4.2GHz. I can't friggin' believe this cpu has been running at 4Ghz for 5yrs now lol

EDIT: Nice to see you have a P6T as well, although with my SE I'd have to flash the higher BIOS and mess around a little if I wanted SLI down the road.

Whats the deal with that maxwell downsampling? Is it different than setting up a custom resolution in the nvcp?
