This seems like a great architecture for mobile chips; heat and noise are persisting problems for gaming laptops, but with Maxwell, we might finally see viable solutions in that area without much compromise on performance. Very impressive, and pleasing to see that the market is finally starting to evolve away from 'bigger, hotter, faster' to 'leaner, cooler, more efficient' even if at the cost of a lesser performance increase over the previous generation than in the past. Only the latter path is sustainable in the long term, anyway.

I bought one, whatever -- it's EVGA if a Ti comes out within 3 months ill step up to it. If not I'll just sell it and buy a Ti. Tired of my 690. Need to wait for a waterblock now or just run it underneath my 690.

    Newegg will call is awesome.

That was the decision i made with 780 ti's - they have more than plenty power for 1440p, but not nearly enough for 4k... so in 2 years time, there should be better 4k screen options (hopefully with g-sync), and 2 way sli should have enough power to consistantly push 60 fps.

How you get the p&p to be 84p??? It is costing me £10 but that was the cheapest option but since it is being delivered by DPD then I expect mine to arrive around 12 noon to 2pm hopefully. Love that they text you to let you know to the nearest hour what time the parcel will arrive and you can even track the driver's location (and his name) via the website! :D

I would say 970 sli would be a massive upgrade for you, plenty for 1440p gaming. a lot cheaper than 980 sli too.
