OMG.. I bought a 290X like 2 days ago, and now nvidia releases this beauty... I think I will refund my card and get a 980GTX... BTW If i refund my card, they will return me the same amount $?

    Thanks!

    Looking interesting.

I'm wondering whether there will be a 980 Ti xD

Half tempted...but for once I'll be waiting as I'd rather not do what I did with the 7 series (Buy 780...few months later hello ti >.>)

Maybe you should wait for the 8gb versions if you are planning to go sli.

Looks good. Now to see how much they retail for. Reviews will also reveal how well they overclock. Oh and new drivers should improve things further.

well yeah, i would expect those 970 vs 780 % numbers to change in say 3-4 months in favor of the 970. This is most likely just the beta review driver which was only made avail. (according to reviewers on social media) 2-3 days ago

I'd bet it'll happen shortly after AMD drops the 390 if it outperforms the 980.

    Not bad. ~ 10-15 Fps difference (+/-5fps)

I want to see these cards how perform on new games, not 2012-2013 games.
    Like these: WatchDog,BF4,Titanfall,Grid Autosport,maybe AC4.

    780/780TI are good to keep.

I would say the safe bet is if you have a 780 or 780ti this is not the card your looking for, wait 6-8 months on the GM210, this is an upgrade for 680/770 or lower users.

I thought NDA lifted on Sept 18th today, or did they change it.

supposedly it was sept. 19 but nvidia changed it this week to 18 - again ONLY going by what a couple of people who have the cards to review them have said on twitter in recent days.

I would guess IF today (or tomorrow) for us EU folks it'll be evening or late afternoon.

Its a full chip, there should be no 'hidden' shaders in this one.

the next chip up will have the Ti/GTX moniker.

This chart is slightly misleading as the 780 used matches roughly a vanilla 780Ti.

Then it will be a massssssive upgrade on a single 670

Only problem now is, wait for 8gb variants or grab a 4gb

I am really impressed with how little these cards draw. Also impressed with the 970 performance and low temps (taken with a pinch of salt). Depending on the pricing, I might actually go for the 970 for now. Or go all out and get a 980 and one of those fancy G-Sync monitors to go with it.
