    Cyris,
    could you mod the 340.72, or post a guide on how to mod them?

    Thanks in advance!

    Yes! I would love to know how you mod these so I can keep nvenc support in future drivers.

    I have just tested it with Mirillis Action and it definitely works.

    Time to export a 1080p 435MB video:

    CPU = 1:13s
    CUDA = 21s

    Thanks for this, it was annoying having to mod the drivers every time.

    Sincerely I didn't expect that the mod was so simple! :thumbup:

    Hi,
    i'm trying to use CUDA with Visual Studio '13 and it does NoThIng! It reports unloaded PDB files.I think it's the driver i'm using ,280.26.All other drivers i used broke down and all your NVCUVID support drivers are for 64b.
    i have the cursed GeForce 9700M GTS... do u know anything that will work?

    anyway thanks!

    Just tried out CUDA for converting a .MKV to .AVI

    GPU: 20% converted took 2 mins 40 secs
    CPU: 20% converted took 2 mins 45 secs

    Is CUDA meant to be a lot faster?

    You need to convert the file to mp4 h264 or avi h264 codec. It will be much faster with cuda. If you are using the free aieesoft video converter you need to manually drop 2 dlls in system 32 and syswow 64. Its in the cuda sticky in the driver section.
    In this thread.

    I just dropped them in the aieesoft install dir and the CUDA option became available

    Yea the AVI I chose was the h.264 one, I was expecting faster results

    I don't really convert many things, was just curious to see how it worked more than anything

    I had to put them into the windows folders like I described earlier. If cuda is working your gpu clocks will ramp up when working and will be much faster than cpu rendering.

    Yea it was working, but only hit 50-60% GPU, but same for CPU too when I tried with that

    Maybe that aieesoft isn't the best converter for testing? Never used it before

    I`ll try with them in system32 etc but CUDA was definitely enabled and it was using the GPU

    Something that would take the cpu an hour to do would take roughly 10 minutes using 2880x2 cuda cores.

    Yea that's the sorta speeds I was expecting

    Ah well, I`ll mess about with it again another time, like I say I don't really convert much / anything really

    A reason why it could not be going faster is the hard drives your doing it on. Its faster if you do it from 1 drive to another, if your doing it to the same drive it will slow it down.
