    - sorry to hear that, fasor..
    - I had similar problems, when I tried using that Raptr thingy..
    - part of the AMD Enhanced option in the original install, I think..

    - eventually I ended up uninstalling it, as it was actually reducing my settings..
    - now I'm just using Trixx for a coupla basic settings to do with crossfire

    - other than that, the 14.8 WHQL is running quite stable on my rig

With this driver, I had the monitor sleep bug, where, it does not turn back on. With 14.8, I didn't.
BUT, this drivers works so good with everything else that I won't bother un-installing it. I can live with it.

Hmm, just went back to Windows 8.1 earlier. Tried installing this driver; couldn't start the driver after install due to Windows reporting issues, so I tried a reboot. Got a BSoD at the boot screen about nonpaged area involving some graphics sys file (not sure if amd or ati).

Rebooted again and was back to Windows, with the driver still not starting due to issues. Guess I can't use these drivers.

Edit: Happened with the APU drivers too; could be something with my setup.

Edit: Seems to be a bad VBIOS flash...

As you said, there has to be soemthing wrong with your setup. I'm on Windows 8.1 here and it installed just fine.

    Ok here is the story.

    win 8.1 pro 64 bit

I've got HD 5650 Mobility on my laptop, I try to install from Setup and I got hardware error detection, after so I installed the driver manually, I played BF4 first round very solid driver and no FPS drops, second map I got memory leak and my computer stutter I checked my Ram after waiting 10 min it was stuck.

I don't think I'll use this driver go back to 13.12 or 14.4

I was happy only for 20 min ....

Do you also have an Intel first gen?

In that case did you have it working in dGPU mode only?

Or was it running Dynamic switching on your muxed fixed setup?

I am wondering if maybe the leak was caused by dynamic mode or not.

Your Intel card is simply disabled via hidden BIOS advanced settings. (unless i am totally mistaken - but i7 chips do not physically miss their GPUs)

These drivers can be used for switchable if you already have Intel drivers installed.

The real question is if it will work properly.

For some there are very few bugs if any... for others there are a few bugs.

Laptops with 5650 and Intel are interesting since not all of them work with the newer AMD drivers.

Yep, was VBIOS-related. I had a MSI 7850 in the past, and requested a UEFI VBIOS for it, and was given it.

RMA'd the card, got a different 7850 (but still the PE OC/2GB GDDR5), and thought I could just use that same VBIOS. Turns out that doesn't work though. Guess MSI changed something somewhere.

Reverted back to the factory VBIOS and this driver works fine now :)

Yes i did install from setup then browse the driver manually ( device manager ) i was able to get ccc opened. As I mentioned setup installed only ccc and no display driver installed although it was listed in the setup but failed to install the driver.

Anyway I got back to 14.4 and i'll wait for amd release .....

don't know if is only my problem, but until 13.10 or 13.12 i can install drivers normally, when i install 14.4 or later driver until this one, in gpuz crossfire is disabled..? 6990 latest normal driver is 13.10-13.12 ? with 14.4-14.6 and these ones betas gpuz show same crossfire disabled, i've reinstalled drivers 2 times, cleaning all with driver sweeper, like i did past years , any advice?

Edit: i tried now ddu and same problem, these betas installed and crossfire disabled in gpuz :bang:

I doubt if this would really be related purely to drivers. I would give a try to reinstallation of os.

so i had the memory leak with 14.8 whql, fixed it by uninstalling all the visual runtime x86 and x64 in add remove uknow,
then ddu safemode removal of the drivers and shutdown.
installed the these drivers and disabled ulps.

cards in question 280x paired with 7970 ghz mod.

Nah, that's not in amd's style, this is one of plenty nvidia's tricks.

Why? It may be caused by mess in os and that's why i suggest to reinstall it, things like this happen sometimes. Try installing these or 14.8 or 14.4 on clean os and check if crossfire works ok.

Also problem may be in gpu-z wrongly detecting crossfire.

Driver seems fine, all of the 14.7 betas used to BSOD a few times a day, but these seem more or less stable. Obviously didn't notice any performance increase/decrease on my card but at least there were no BSODs for the past few days using this driver. Played only a few games: XCOM:EU, Civ5, War Thunder, World of Tanks, Dota and CS:GO. All of them worked fine. However The Sims 3 is crashing with MSVCR80.dll error which seem to be related to these drivers because the game worked fine on the 14.4 (yeah I've tried reinstalling VC++ and it doesn't help).
