it's normal mate, my memory clocks jump up to 3d clocks when the monitor is overclocked, also when using 2 monitors. Hence why I stick to 60hz in desktop on my Qnix, another reason is by far better IQ at 60hz and no retention.

Same I bought a Asus VG248QE as my first 3D ready/144hz monitor and I noticed it right off the back, I had a Korean monitor that was IPS and after I tweaked my monitor, I perfect fine with it colors. I don't regret it at all, like I did the 2560x1440 that I had that died. I do plan to get the 3Dvision 2 kit next month as 3D was the big reason why I did get the monitor.

Makes a helluva difference, everythings just buttery smooth now, can really tell the difference in first person shooters, mouse lags non existant, or its that reduced i can't tell, i didn't think the difference would be that big tbh going to 144Hz, but its bloody massive :D

how are other genres working i.e rts? rpgs?

tbh honest am still deciding whether to go for something like a dell 27inch ips @60hz because the only real fps I play is bf4....

(oh I do play mmos and wot/war thunder).

I guess for war thunder could be a bonus...

    I sure miss my 144hz monitor. :(

But my rig won't handle 100fps+ anyway, hope to get a second 760 in the future then i'm considering getting a 120/144hz monitor again.

It's significantly better to the point where I just can't game on a 60hz screen anymore. There are times when for whatever reason windows resets my 2420T to 60hz, I notice it nearly immediately no matter what I'm doing.

Same, i switched back to 60hz while sorting Crysis out, and found it now unusable, desktop was even stuttery, laggy, yet id been using it fine for god knows how many years, once you go to 120/144, you really just can't go back as everyone says.

Im stuck on getting the ROG Swift to replace my old 16ms 30inch Dell, im not sure if i could handle the smaller screen size or hang off get a bigger 32 inch or so G sync 4k screen when they come out.
Im so used to the 30 inch screen smaller might annoy me.

Yeah doubt i could go back to smaller, i started off with 17 inch, then went to 22, then to 27.

No good enough 30" monitors with greater than 60Hz to start with. The ROG Swift would be a huge upgrade for gaming.

Certainly I don't opt for going lower than 26" for myself, having had it for four years now.
