ASRock now as well follows the herd by posting photo's of one of their upcoming X99 motherboards. Below the fold you can find three photo's of the upcoming ASRock  X99X Killer motherboard. The In... ASRock Also Posts Pictures of Pending X99X Killer Motherboard
Still, why two different approaches? Wouldn't it be better to install two of the same, for driver reasons for instance?
I believe it is due to the onboard southbridge chipset already provides a intel internet controller out of the box. If they want to provide two of the same they would have to integrate another chip.
Ah, thanks for the clarification. I know asrock boards like the killer, so I was more wondering where that intel came from Well design wise, I wouldn't mind the colors as long as it performs well. Don't see anything there making it rise above the others though, so I don't think I'd go for it if going for 2011-3.
U shouldn't move to 2011-3 just because of the newer mobo's but the ability to install the first intel eightcore cpu and DDR4. When looking at the picture I can only spot 3 PCI-e slots while the x99 is able to support 4?
I noticed too. Also, I'd be curious of how they add up in PCIe lanes, as I'd be very interested in x16/x16/x8 and something else for a fourth, seeing my need for wlan which is at the moment a PCIe addon card in my pc.
