I imagine a nice game for it will be far cry 4, i'd feel much better jumping into fc4 on *haswell e than any i5.

*the mid one with lil more pcie lane bandwidth than lowest one, it'll cost around £400

    Could it be...

that there are a Total of 10 S-ATA Connectors? All Bottom right,
4 Pairs standing and 2 Connectors next to each other all in the Bottom
    beneath the Southbridge Cooler?

Given it's DDR4, we should see support for BIG amounts of RAM, 256 GB anyone?

Having used MSI Motherboards for a long time now, I much prefer them over ASUS.

Don't get me wrong, ASUS make great motherboards but so do MSI.

Another thing worth mentioning is that in my experience, MSI's customer service is absolutely first rate, I cannot say the same for ASUS.

I'm tempted by this, or the ASUS WS board equivalent. I'm never using GByte again after my experiences with this board.

Gbyte are not what they used to be and their service is some of the worst I have ever experienced.

    Very nice board from MSI

an BLEH I've experienced problems on GB/MSI/Asus boards before, little quirks an stability problems, I'd say none of them are perfect.

This is exactly it. Unable to flash back to a working BIOS (and a beta one at that). It's a joke now.

Just terrible customer service and even worse BIOSes.

And my X58 is feeling ancient now. Though still very strong considering its age. lol TBH X99 will be my next upgrade.

Gigabyte has gone down the crapper imho. My friends GB X58 is a trainwreck. Im going with ASUS or MSI for my next build.

As odd as it sounds, I can get a higher memory bandwidth out of X58 than I can out of X79. 2133 on the old, 1600 on the new.

    Yep

X99 is going to be my final upgrade for the E series. For the foreseeable future anyways. My wife has been getting on me lately about "unneeded" upgrades. So I figured I would upgrade the most costly rig. :D
