Has nothing to do with alleged software piracy.

Anyone have a mirror for this, for those who don't care about the drama?

I made this account to reply to this thread.

EVGA makes good products with good warranties. My house got struck by lightning in June and two computers were damaged. The computers were on surge protected ups but the surge still caused the power supplies to fail. Both computers had EVGA video cards in them that were damaged by the power supplies failing. One was a Geforce GT 550 Ti and the other was a 560. EVGA allowed me to rma both cards under warranty and replaced them with upgrades for only the cost of shipping the damaged cards to them. The 550 was replaced with a GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST and the 560 was replaced with a GTX 660.

Did EVGA do wrong if they used rivatuner code without giving credit? Yes, remember its alleged software piracy.

Did EVGA remove Precision X 15 and put it back on the drawing board? Yes, there is not much more they can do and anything like compensating Unwinder if EVGA really did commit software piracy is probably done behind closed doors.

Does boycotting EVGA do anything? No, simply because more customers will replace those that decide to boycott EVGA. But hey, go ahead and boycott EVGA if you feel you must do it.

Are there bigger problems in the world? Yes

    Have a nice day now.:)

Nobody is saying EVGA makes crappy products. I think its $hitty what they did with Precision but I will still buy EVGA cards in the future. A small number of people boycotting their products for this will not harm their business model in anyway.

This wouldn't put me off buying an EVGA card, it would make me reluctant, but would still consider it.

What would and has put me off from ever buying a product from them is their complete lack of any customer service.

I just pulled a muscle rolling my eyes so hard.

Anyways, thanks guys for getting it pulled because there is code from another program in this overclocking utility, such a thing unheard of. We're lucky to be alive, the world almost stopped turning.

Make sure you boycott Evga products too, because that's not disproportional or revealing how much of a manchild you are.

I've stripped down plenty of eVGA graphics cards over the years. Quite honestly, they're sloppy. They apply an excessive amount of thermal grease to the GPU. It doesn't actually take near as much as eVGA slops on and applying an excessive amount, such as what eVGA does, reduces the effectiveness.

Most of their products use reference PCB's. Both of my GTX660SC's use reference PCBs. They also both throttle using their stock coolers. There's no difference in quality between an eVGA card using a reference PCB and a PNY, Asus or MSI card using a reference PCB.

That "dried up generic white grease"....is silicone thermal grease. It's very different than the lithium grease found in most bicycle bearings.

It was a bit harsh, but still his opinion.

I agree with him and boycotting evga all together. Their software should not reflect their hardware in any way.

And really if they did you would be here saying it was ok they are great
I think you should get the evga spoon out your ass once and for all dude

Also you support companies stealing I get it. While I agree boycotting them is not a good answer. You have no right to insult us over hating EVGA.
