Which file ? If its the .rar archive you are talking about use 7-Zip to decompress ! It will solve the problem !

frames are great with the "test" v6 but even using high textures and the ultra preset I'm still getting the occasional stutter

 

Use Ultra textures with ultra preset once ... with Max buffered frames - 2 or 3 !
And it stutters just a lil bit , its usual to not notice that ! Also,m just taking feedback from the progress of stutter removal ,it won't be made public sadly ! ! Will improve more

also CoolerEra has made me a Light - Version of the mod which i will be sharing soon enough !

 

Is the only difference between core and the other version, textures? Also, what would the light version be?

 

Light version uses Vanilla stuff with just the special effects like bloom,DoF,camera ,coat ,Rain changes ,etc.

Ok, tested your new V6 core version, it works fine, good performance, no issue right now, i'll test more later and give feedback here.

I managed to download the v6 sunset 3.5 , worsemod 0.97c and lunyah 3.1 Hq mode and proceeded to do :

- Extracted ubiPatch from Data folder in v6 as a base
- Overwritten Sunset Textures from v6 package also
- Updated with Maldo Textures (with overwrite) from 0.97c
- Updated with Lunayah Hq Personal Settings
- Upgraded Graphics with E3 Coat and rest from v6 and also set Normal TOD from Data
- It remains to merge the newly received v6 revision core with this. Until now i get a good result. Warning - patch is 3 gb . If anyone wants to try it then please delete gamerprofile after applying patch and set after first game run graphic textures to High(not ultra) and Details also to High . The links are as follows :

Here's my feedback about new v6...

First impression is "WOW"
This is the first time I play WD in everything ultra without fps drop...
my fps is stay at 30++ while driving (I lock my fps at 35)...

and sadly there are still a little stuttering in my rig (but its still playable for me)

Well I think this is huge improvement... coz with vanilla when i play everything at ultra... my fps drop to ~20 while driving...

Maybe if I use high profile and texture it will reduce stuttering?
I haven't tried it yet... coz you tell me to play at ultra

 

That is a fair question. The answer is simple. I do not know. The game works and I enjoy the visuals. You can check it out and see for yourselves or not. The choice is yours. I thought it would not hurt to share. Good luck and happy gaming everyone.

I think I already know the answer to this question, but has anyone found a way of restoring Aiden's E3 Face?

It's great that the E3 clothes have been restored, now it just needs the face to complete the image.

Well, that and hopefully there are a few more E3 effects modders have yet to reactivate.

I tried the revision. Did what you asked in the PM. However, frame rate tanks for me when there is any weather going on but clear. I have no slow downs in the vanilla game, but the mod drops me to 20 fps at least. Also, still stutters in dense areas, but almost no stutter at all in outskirts areas.

EDIT: The heavy rain is fantastic by the way... and strangely not the most fps heavy part either. Seems light drizzle is the worst.
