The Weapon is Metal but it's BRDF Specular response looks like Rubber

 

it is a game issue since the mod does not affect game mechanics. it will only affect graphics and the rain density will affect fps but if you want it just go into the default rendering settings in engine and then find enviroment, find the ultra section and put 150.00 on rain density. if you change the windcity rain size and densities can also work

nice stuff, engine used for this game sucks. too bad

 

Wouldn't say so i think it can be improved, though i will try first to fix some issues that getting on my visual nerves like the Specular Aliasing of the Metal Clip on his Cap

I will first try to Stabilize Render results before going into subjective Modding

But i wonder if Nvidia applied some Nasty tricks to get some speedups, will check that first

here some personal HQ result i really like that also performance wasn't that bad it was playable

Though sometimes for no apparent reason even when standing the FPS dropped into the ground very strange behavior indeed.

I mean everyone would understand these drops

But in this Scene it dropped down sometimes up to 7 FPS and took a crazy long time before reaching the 20 FPS stable very odd behavior

Also Lunayah you can see the Pistol has a much better Material Response, someone @ Ubisoft didn't invested so much time it seems in the Machine Gun

 

So is this mod better than the original TheWorse 0.97c ?? I'm confused! :O

 

You have to decide this for yourself and your System setup, but be asure what visually comes out there of my 460 GTX is stunning me Personally since the first time i used Lunayahs Mod for the reached Render Time, it's just not that Stable so it's better you config it for your System yourself if you not happy with it

Though im still evaluating where these render dropdowns come from but this is for my system Personally, though it might help if i find out what is causing it others as well if it should scale.
So my Personal goal is to reach stable 20 FPS without strange pretty unexpected render drops

you can see very clearly here how the Machine Gun falls apart in the Lighting

 

I always thought they programmed the game that way to be realistic. Usually happens if I am part way in the other lane or full on in the other lane. I thought the car coming at me was flashing his lights to let me know "HEY LOOK OUT!". I get that flashing even when I don't have a mod installed.

 

That's a good point. I tend to drive full throttle and weave in and out of traffic so it's hard to say exactly. I like that reasoning though so it works for me lol.

 

Don't be confused. They both are really good mods. It all personal taste my friend. Use the one that is more your style.

 

Yep that is correct but you gonna see that blinking also if you stand on a Bridge and Look Down to the Traffic

That's my test Case for it

And i like all these small realism things the first time you see the AI driving on the back of another Car without you even doing anything is awesome

Or the behavior of Ambulances hehe, i learned to be careful now if i hear a siren when i cross the street

You really feel the depth between the Camera Lense and Aiden it's crazy

Though with this heavy Light Lens Clarity some textures now start to fall apart in 1080p

Especially the Road Texture cant hold up anymore in terms of Light Response Details compared to other objects it's way to Blurry @ High now

And missing AF becomes also a problem in the distance now heavily

In v3.1 E3 original it rains during a sunny day, without clouds in the sky. This looks strange and wasn't like that before i think.

 

Lunayah, thank you so much for this mod. I have been browsing around this message board for awhile now, and have finally decided to sign up, so I can thank you personally. You have done an amazing job. I was having so much stuttering before it was driving me nuts. However, I'm still having an issue that has been there from the beginning. I'm at the point where I'm just gonna have to deal with it, but it does ruin the gameplay experience at times. I'm talking about object flickering. no matter what I do, I get objects like wall.. blocks etc. flickering at times, even when I'm walking about or running trying to enjoy the city, its really frustrating. I did some research, and others have said that it might be due to the "maximum pre-rendered frames" setting but i have tried all.. 1,2,3,4. it does not resolve the issue. I'm at a point where I'm thinking its my graphics card, or even my power supply (first new rig). it's funny, because this is the only game i have this problem. I hope others that have had this problem were able to resolve it, and hopefully can help me out. much respect...

 

the weather patter has been changed for more rain and it is design so it rain just a little before it gets really cloudy. I ve seen rain without cloudy days

you welcome man.try to go into your nvida control panel and set all texture filtering off and see if it helps. is it a problem you get with the game without mods too?

 

Ah, okay. Then I#m going to test it out one more time. I changed the TimeScale to 30 and thought it could be because of that.

 

it should be like this that it should start raining just a little while it starts getting cloudy and then it gets more cloudy and it starts raining a lot. I though it was nice since it gives a nice scenery when the sun is out while raining a little

 

Great mod thanks to Lunayah and everyone that helped him make this. I've been trying to change one thing though - the rain occurrence. Can anyone tell me how to make it rain bit less? Something betveen original setting and this one. I've downloaded the tools but havent been able to unpack common.fat and windy city.fat as tutorial said. I keep getting an error that program stoped working. So what should i do if i just want to change one value in already existing mod?

 

@Lunayah How are you building your personal mod? I mean, what are you combining?

 

My lens flare is ready to be shared. I softened and blurred it some, the edges where too sharp. Here are some pics. You guys think I should share them on my YouTube page or create a thread? It seems like people go ape chit every time a new WD thread is made. Its not a patch or a big mod because I want people to be able to use them with their favorite mod.
