raising power limit shouldn't affect anything much ,temp wise , as it probably spiking the limit then it throttles .
Unless your OC and voltages are so high, your smacking into limit all the times, then yes that would affect temps but then the limit is not the problem.

Im not worried about temps, only higher power current going through gpu.

Anyway my point was Hardreset benchmark & 340.43 can driver rest @ max oc while older 337.xx didnt, hopefully they're gonna checkout whats going on with HardReset once you enable 4xmsaa no vsync etc, it has big power consumption this way.. No other game/benchmark did it at same clocks etc..

Also mentioned @ nvidia forums just in case :nerd:

then i would not worry about it but then again I would max out the limit slider anyways .
Its only going to pull from the rails what the max TDP limit and separate rail limits set in bios .
Did you modify those , just raising the TDP is also not going to hurt, you could set that to 500w and card not going to pull that anyway , there seems to be hardware limits in there .

    Ppl, one question
the issues of Watch Dogs are fault of the last patch or this drivers?
i dont know exactly, but both (patch and drivers) was release the same day, right?

I never said Fraps shows my refresh rate:bang::stewpid:. I can see in the game settings where I set the refresh rate that it is set to 144Hz before I even get to that setting and I said I use FRAPS to show the FPS not the refresh rate.

Have any of you tried 3D blu-ray with this driver, or 337.88 WHQL?
    My 3D is screwed....
There is a weird choppiness I can't explain.
It's hard to explain, but it's like the picture "jumps/jerks" when changing scenes too. Whenever there is motion there is an unusual choppiness and flicker effect.
2D is ok, but 3D is not.

334.89 WHQL is working nicely without the "choppiness".

    Specs:
    i7 4770k
    16gb 2400mhz ram
    GTX 770
    PowerDVD 14 Ultra, latest update
(But I downloaded a beta with Totalmedia Theatre too, and it's the same problem with that player)

I'm 99,9% sure that this is driver related, and was introduced with the 337.88 WHQL.

Tried the support chat, and left a feedback in the Geforce Experience.

Yea I guess thats microstuttering. I dont like these at all, in fact I care less and less about performance, since it usually is fairly even anyway, and more about smoothness. I have actually gone back to 337.50 they work very nice for bf4 and dark souls 2 and have the least amount of stuttering in csgo of the newer drivers. Probably going to stick with 337.50 or 337.90 for now as these seem to be the smoothest with least amount of microstutter.

It's not just the stuttering. There's also something not right with the 3D effects. I feel strain on my eyes, and the 3D is kinda "shifted/staggered". I don't know how to explain it in english :)
As I said the driver 334.89 is flawless, so it has to be something implemented to the later releases.
Edit: It's also like the pictures blinks when the movie changes from one scene to another.

I installed the driver and noticed a setting in the control panel for shader cache "on," what's this used for? Is it better to have it on or off?

I would keep it on globally and change only per nvcpl game profile, its fine 99% of the time.

Although if you notice any weird performance, then it should be the first option to test and turn off :nerd:

Btw its cache folder is stored in appdata/local/temp folder, if you use some files cleaner you might want to exclude this nvidia folder.

Yeah, for example having Shader Cache on for Mount and Blade Warband kills my game performance and makes it stutter. Just set up profiles and you should be good.

Can you provide more information? What display resolution are you running at? Are you connected to a 3d monitor, projector or 3D HDTV? How is the display connected (HDMI, DVI, etc.)? Name a movie that shows this problem. What OS are you using?
