Sorry if this question was above---- Will it work correct if I install 0.8 over 0.6, for example? also I have some problems like shadows "flicking" and textures translucenting

and resinstal patch of mod 0.6

Wow, I am gone for a couple weeks and now 0.8 is out o_O

Can anyone tell me how to crack open the patch files or merge them with mine to do some performance tweaks, ie. LoD, kLoD etc. I have been working on some in vanilla, but with the new patches, I want to see how much of an impact they have in 0.8 :)

after I started to play with 0.8v I noticed Some areas are dark, very dark at night. I know It's realistic, but too much ;) It's a game.
I started a task ( gang hideout ) and it was too dark and night, some guy shot at me, he could see me and I coudn't see him. Kinda hard to play this way. Seems like NPC's are not affected by lack of light :p

that also happened in older versions. Under optimal conditions, the darkness would change to a brighter setting when you start a mission.

use medium textures if you have stutter.

It seems to work, but it's too subtle right now. I'm also looking through the system library files to see if I can tweak it further. There's a soundmix.lua which looks likely but I'm having trouble opening lua files properly, notepad++ is acting funny. I'm about to try LuaEclipse. If I get it to work properly so it's actually worth sharing I'll share it with any of the modders that are interested.

    Hey!

I'm another new member here who signed up just to thank you @TheWorse. I am yet to try out your mod as I have learned reading the forums that there are still problems, so I can wait for the next version. But I want to thank you in advance for your commendable effort, slapping on the face of Ubisoft who cheated us by providing a purposely toned down version of the game just to make the console versions look better. This is very cheap.

I wish you all the best and please keep these mods coming! :)
